I had terrible experience with a company. I had it for almost 9 months. I signed for
automatic payment from credit card. One day I noticed that company charges me 2 -3 times a
month. I looked in to the history and I saw that they overcharge me big time. One month I
had changes up to 200 bucks. Now I am in the second month trying to resolve it. So far it
is without results. They initially agreed that they overcharged me. And that was it. Each
time I called, they promise to fix it, and no changes. Finally I said it is enough. I
canceled credit card and ask them to cancel service. I am filling complain to BBB. Stay
away from this company.
We had one of their business resellers (MirrorPort) install and configure a custom asterisk
solution for our small business - most excellent. We set up an 800 number, business
unlimited plan and a few virtual numbers in other cities, for the price that we were paying our
local telco, this is a HUGE difference in our monthly price.
From talking to their business development manager, they now offer reseller support
throughout the country that will consult and come to your business to put together a custom
solution. There are so many hardware choices for small business, but these resellers really
make the decision process easy for you. We chose to go with a custom asterisk IP-PBX
solution tied in with the Zingotel business service - no complaints here. We've heard of their
troubles in the past, but what voip company does not have troubles - look at how Sunrocket
tanked.
So far, value for our money has been excellent, we get all the big business features at a low
monthly price
It's true you get what you pay for. Yes Zingotel has had technical problems in the past.
last year they did a firmware upgrade and I was unable to use my device for 2 weeks. Every
month or so I need to unplug the power from my device to reset it.
So far so good. I like the idea of being able to use the softphone feature on my Nokia E65.
It's true they now have a call center in India.
---------
I must say my other VoIP provider never seems to have problems but they are not as big as
Zingotel.
Nightmare? Are the others who say "Nightmare" just picky? NO!!!! Zingotel screwed up my
number port and couldn't figure out how to fix it for FOUR WEEKS! I had outgoing calls
but no incoming call reception for those five weeks. The tech support is in India, and is
99% clueless. Takes 1 to 3 days for them to answer emails; they NEVER answer the phone
line. They have a $40 cancellation fee, high. This is the third world version of VOIP:
share your ride with live chickens, inept drivers/pilots, and only one major bus/plane
crash per week. Some may even survive, but this one is bailing asap. Stay Away times
1,000,000.
Zingo service was never up and running on my phone although they happily charged me for 4
months of usage and a close out fee of $50.00. They do not return calls and their email support is poor at best. Customer support is almost non existent and customer service is absolutely terrible.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced in 34 years. Horrible phone quality,
terrible reliability, and truly the most frustrating and agonizing dealings with any company ever
known. Period. My phone never works correctly! Voice mail system doesn't work at all.
When I email someone to fix it (because their customer service land line never works; I just
get a fast busy signal) all I get is "power down". Truly horrible service. DON'T DO IT!!
Not only has it taken months for Zingotel to get our service working, but they are impossible
to reach on the phone when you need help. We're a small office, it should have been fairly
easy. Vonage at home was a piece of cake. Zingotel at work has been a nightmare of
incompetence, delays and mistakes since April (it is now August). Not once have the offered
to compensate us for the inconvenience or the fact that I've had to deal with two phone
systems in my office while I wait for them to get their act together.
The latest irritation: They screwed up rolling over our previous number to the new service so
now when people call the old number, they get a fast busy...unless they are a Zingotel
customer. For days now I've been getting emails and cell phone calls from customers and
vendors that my phone doesn't work. I wonder what my prospects do? Oh, right. They go
somewhere else.
The message to us is clear: we're a small office with 10 handsets so we must not be
important to Zingotel. I kept telling myself it would get better, but it hasn't. I feel stuck since
I'm not sure I can afford another six months with another VOIP provider. Has anyone out
there had a good and fast experience with a VOIP provider? If so, please email me:
cynthia@promotesuccesspr.com.
In the off chance that Zingotel is actually monitoring the Internet for feedback, I invite them to
call me, their very unhappy customer at Promote Success...you know, the one whose phone
doesn't work.
I sign up and finished my 11 months with company keeping in mind that the value for the
plan I am paying is really reasonable, suddenly they charge me a $105 and sends a email
that they upgrade my residential unlimited US & Canada to business and they start charging
for every local call per minute as well as a long distance. Try a lot to solve but finally
give up and cancel my a/c which take more than 3 weeks to cancel
Zingotel started off really good, but at one point I stopped being able to reliably make or
receive calls. At that point after logging into my account I noticed that they had bumped
my bill up to 50.90 per month. The only explanation they will offer is
"As per records we observed that your telephone account has exhibited certain usage
patterns which flag it as being for other than residential purpose"
The promised rate of 15.90/month had disappeared 3 months ago and they had been charging my
c/c the new rate ever since. This despite the fact I can view my logs and you will notice
right away that my wife who uses the phone only calls other residential phones. Most
notably our own home phone number. She lives in another province because of her job and we
thought the rate they were offering was really great.
It's impossible to actually speak with a person at the company and they will only send me
emails with the above blurb.
Very highly NOT recommended
Never received equipment and still charging me monthly. Poor customer service based in
INDIA! You cannot understand them and they promise everything and deliver NOTHING. This
is a SCAM!!! Do NOT use Zingotel as they are going out.
Zingotel is does NOT provide reliable service in any regard. The service was always having
problems. I could not dial out many times, some phones numbers I was never able to call
from the Zingotel phone, many times I would not know the inbound calls weren't working
either until some of the MANY clients that tried to get through and couldn't sent me e-mails or
told me so when I contacted them.
After I initially set up the service I could never get any one on the phone, I left numerous
messages and no one EVER returned my calls, they just kept billing me.
They also added some mysterious TAX a few months after I had the service.
Bottom line they SUCK!
Zingo Sux. This is not to humiliate zingotel, I just wanna let people who are planning to sign
up for zingo know the truth. You will always be charged even though you sign up for unlimited
and for taxes that are unheard of. On canceling you are charged $40.00 and $8.00 for an
ethernet cable (market price $2.00) this makes me laugh. Customer service is another laugh,
I do believe they wanna help but it's just that they don't know how. Just don't sign up with
zingo. I'm just being a good citizen. Zingo, please don't take it personally, it's only fare to let
others know that, you didn't refund even after a month and a week of no service.
