WhichVoIP Visitor Ratings

At WhichVoIP.com, there are many ways we have helped our visitors since our early days in 2004. Perhaps you were looking for pricing comparisons, or maybe in-depth guides on VoIP or provider editor and user reviews. Maybe you needed to know how to setup your own PBX or just need to run a VoIP test to see if your Internet is good enough. Alternatively, maybe you had VoIP related questions and could not find answers on the Internet (we answer many questions, posted on our website, every single day).

Below you will find feedback from people we have helped. These are real visitors who posted their feedback on independent websites.

We are not showing these to be boastful, we are just proud of the fact we have helped so many people through the years.

I had an incoming voice quality issue with my phone. Through emails and phone, we were able to fix the issue. They widened the bandwidth and emailed me how to disengage SIP ALG for my modem. So far, so good. I could not have done this without their help! Cannot thank them enough. Very helpful, expedient and yet personable.

Agent Identified as Andy exceeded my expectations for assistance freely offered. He voluntarily provided me with mre information than I'd asked for that throughly answered my question better than I'd asked it. I taught Customer Service certification classes, technical and non-technical before retirement and tend to have a critical eye for the type of service I witness. Nothing to criticize about this encounter.

Andy, I use your first name because that is how I feel about the exceptional personal service I received. Did I say "at no cost to me"? I was having serious issues with MagicJack across a DSL connection. Inbound seemed ok, but outbound was so choppy that the person on the other end simply could not understand a word I was saying. You suggested that I try your VOIP speed test at http://www.whichvoip.com/voip/speed_test/ppspeed.html. The summary graphic from the test showed two green, two yellow, and one red balloon. (By the way, Google Chrome will not run the test... use a different browser.) You suggested a couple of other things to try. It was as though I was your best paying business customer. In the end, you suggested unchecking the SIP ALG box deep in the bowels of my (phone company provided) DSL router. BINGO. Now I get all green balloons and happy, stutter-free conversations with my grandkids using my MagicJack line. Andy, I can't thank you enough. OldGeek

Over the last few years I've asked for help and guidance on several subjects. Some of them are: -What's a 'Termination Service and do I need one? -What is the name of the service that is attempting to link all .edu type entities into a VOIP/SIP system with a published phone number and entity listing -Recommendations for home user VOIP services -Questions about specific types of phone. After I received my answers, I was a better educated SIP newbie. Straight answers in jargon-less language. Even "lurking" I always learn something.

Your website provides a wealth information for those wanting to find out more about VOIP. Your customer service far excels most. I have an Ooma device and have found the customer service far from ideal. I was impresses with how (Andy, I bellieve) was knowledgeable, attentive and responsive to my VOIP issues. I haven't totally resolved the problems I am having but he certainly got me going in the right direction. Your service was remarkable.

Asked what I thought was a simple question about Magic Jack before starting to use it and once my contact had a good grasp on what my plans where, I think I got more specific information to my situation than I could have put together myself in about a month's time of full research. Your survey won't let me give as high of a score as this contact deserves for the amount help and options he has given me.

I emailed WhichVOIP to get some information about phone number systems for VOIP. Andy patiently guided me through the places to start learning about the two direct dial systems in use. I took a hit from a corrupt Microsoft update and lost everything Andy helped me learn. Andy's follow up email has most of the information I lost.

I was very satisfied with PhonePower for several years, but in 2014 had some problem with my phone service for about four months. I wasn't sure if it was due to Verizon internet or PhonePower. The problem was that every call got cut off after a couple of minutes. After I switched to Comcast internet, the problem disappeared and now I'm quite happy with PhonePower.

WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Wow, I am so grateful that you provide this extremely useful overview of VOIP and various providers. I am amazed that you also respond to individual questions. I do hope that people are truly grateful for your assistance. I want to thank you, and advise you how your information assisted me. I live in Ontario, Canada and wanted to save money by switching my phone and internet away from Bell. I paid about $150 per month for the most basic home phone service, and good internet (Fiber optic, with 10 MBps download and 1 MBps upload). My teenage son uses the computer constantly, so I even had to upgrade to unlimited bandwidth, for an extra cost of $30 per month, bringing my bill with Bell up to $150. I am a single parent and trying to watch every penny, so I switched internet providers to a cable-based system (so that I didn't have to pay the 'dry loop' fee that Bell Canada charges). I also changed my phone to VOIP, choosing Phone Power, which I selected based on your recommendations. I AM JUST THRILLED!! I paid Phone Power for the 2 year plan, paid in advance, which meant that I got the second year for free (just had to pay the taxes which would have been applicable if they charged for the second year). Phone Power includes over 45 services with each phone account, including unlimited long distance calling in USA/Canada, 60 free minutes per month of international calling, voicemail, call display, call waiting, and many more!! WOW! I have never had these services before and I am finding them so convenient! My monthly bill, averaged over the two year period, is about $6.00, which is just FABULOUS! Phone Power was very helpful when I called to inquire about their service, and they have helped instantly and courteously on the one and only occasion when the VOIP modem needed to be reset (just unplug for 10 seconds). I would not have found Phone Power if you had not kindly provided such an amazing and comprehensive and yes, FREE, service on your wonderful website - WhichVoIP.com Many Many thanks to your team! I was amazed that you even responded in person to my positive comment on your website - fabulous! Thanks again and best wishes!

When I contacted whichvoip.com, I had a question regarding Internet provider and use of VoIP. I was with Cogeco and was thinking of switching to Bell Fiber. I was pleased to receive a response from Andy promptly and to my satisfaction. As it turned out, I decided to stay with Cogeco. It's great to know there is a site such as yours to which customers can go to have questions answered.

I asked about a topic which is not included on the website; I received a personal response which fully answered my question within a few hours. When I say personal I also mean in contrast to the too-often typical tech support which just give a boilerplate answer which has nothing to do with the question.

For senior citizens a working telephone is an absolute necessity. The ability, if ever an interruption to the line occurs, to have the phone working again within minutes is is no luxury, it could be a lifesaver. In all the years that I have been with Vonage my telephone has never been out of service for more than five minutes. I have never received any dropped calls, and can honestly state 100% satisfaction.

I use your site as a chess and balances system against what the big Internet/broadband companies don't want you to know. They say they only support their own sites which is utter BS. Tools like yours exist for exactly that reason, so we may have some type of recourse against the big guys.
