Their customer service is terrible. If you need help they have an answering service that takes your call and opens a "trouble ticket" for you. You then have to wait for someone in customer service to call you back, if they do.

Reviewers Comments:

I am Siahbon and if you scroll down, you will see that about a year ago, I was sold on Voice Eclipse. Today, I believe it is one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. I recently canceled my phone service due to a billing problem and no customer support. My bill on line said $37 and $49 was deducted from my checking account. I tried many times to contact the company by phone and email and got not response. On four separate occasions, I was on hold for 15 to 20 minutes and had my phone call escalated to voicemail with the promise that someone would return my call, but there was never a return call. I followed up with two emails, and still, no one responded to my billing issue. I got a hold of the new parent company and was given a phone number to someone in sales. I left two messages, and still no return call. I called the parent company again and demanded to speak with someone, and requested I not be transferred until he had someone on the phone for me. I finally spoke with a Voice Eclipse representative who informed me that they are short staffed. He couldn't explain my billing issue and requested that I fax a copy of the bill to him and they will issue the necessary credit. I advised him that I would. The next day, I attempted to get a copy of the bill from my on line account to fax to him, and was surprised to learn that my password didn’t work any longer. I couldn’t access my account. I soon realized that they changed my online password. I couldn't believe it. I phoned and left a message that if no one calls me, I will cancel my account. As expected, no one returned my phone call. I was able to find the printed copy a few hours later and faxed it, but as I expected, nothing was done. I was left with no choice to send an email canceling my account. I received an email the following day stating my account was canceled per my request. This company provided the best pricing for VOIP on the net and it is so sad to see how irresponsible they are in handling their customers. Until they bounce back to a level of professionalism, I would NOT recommend them to my dog.

Reviewers Comments:

I have been with voiceeclipse for almost a year signed up 5/23/06, it took them over 2 months to port my 2 phone numbers over stating it was the porting companies fault I found that a little odd, Once service was running, I called support multiple times during the first 4 months to resolve nagging problems in service from calls not going through to calls not being received, etc at that time I could get a hold of support and they seems to work on things. I either gave up or just put up with the nagging issues putting them off as nat router problems or local home phone problems. I finally decided to call them again on 4/20/07 , after waiting on hold for 15 minutes I had to leave a message with "Priority support" , the next day I got a call back which was TOTALLY unacceptable, during that time I tried calling every 4 hours to both sales and support and no one answers the phone. When I did get a call back the first time , the tech said everything looked good ,but it felt like he was blowing me off as he was too busy. The second call I got back stated I had to call sales! I am now on hold with sales for 2 hours this morning 4/25/07 and still no answer! I proceeded to contact Paetec who are the owners US Lec who owns starttec who owns voiceeclipse and NO one could answer ANY questions as if they were told not to say anything ? right now it sounds like voiceeclipse has some major problems and they are simply not telling there customers anything. Unless things change "really" fast I will be forced to switch to another voip provider and put up with paying double the price :( upset voip user

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY 44 YEAR LIFE. They are scammers! My service went out almost EVERY DAY!! Yes EVERY DAY- they don't answer the phone, or emails, now that I switched to comcast (and love it) they still bill me HOW NICE!! I cant get them to stop. I have had to threaten them with reporting to attorney general, FCC, FTC, and BBB before they even answered an email (and that was after 3 months!!) ABSOLUTE WORST

Never, never use their service. I have a premium voiceeclipse plan: 2 lines plus fax. Fax hasn't been working since I subscribed. They told me that something wrong with their server and they fix it in a couple of days. It was more than 6 months ago. Never try to reach their billing and technical support department, it is useless. And if your problem is really serious: like nobody can reach you at your both home numbers because something strange happens with your voiceeclipse numbers... and you can wait for hours till Eric Olson or Jason Harper would pick up the phone. There are no more people in their technical department, I am not kidding, just two of them. Right now, it gets more interesting. You make a call to their technical department, they put you on hold for about 30 mins, after that you prompted to leave a brief message with a problem description, and they promise to get back to you. They didn't get back to me for 2 weeks. Maybe, Eric and Jason don't work there anymore. Never use their service!!!

Reviewers Comments:

If I had to do it over, I would not sign up for VoiceEclipse. Features are non existent, caller id is not available, number forwarding will show my home phone, not the actual caller number. If the answering message has too many messages, it will tell the caller that my phone number does not exist. I signed up with Sunrocket in Aug. 2006, after five months, they could not port my number since these people are holding my number hostage by putting my number under Starnet, Inc. So there is a mismatch between my name, number and ownership, this is their way of keeping customers. Way to go, Voiceeclipse or Starnet whatever it is. Worst part, they never answer their phone even if you hold for hours. I don't think, they have any tech department. If they do, they are on vacation most of the time. I am looking into the matter - if they can legally have my number under their company name. Does anyone have any answer? Bottom line - my recommendation is not to sign up with this company

E-mail and fax contacts are black holes, wastelands for your correspondence. Tech support is a joke. E-mail them your LOA for porting a # and they never acknowledge it, then say they never received it. Ok. Fax it in. No acknowledgement and they say they never received it. Try getting a question about their broken-down VEFax feature answered. I e-mailed sales and support repeatedly over the last three weeks and CC'ed US LEC's escalation team -- No acknowledgement. No response. Same goes for two e-mails this week. I finally got annoyed enough to cancel and good luck with that. I burned up hundreds of cell minutes today alone on hold before giving up and calling from a landline. So far I have been on hold for 7 hours and 43 minutes. This call alone. Now apparently their telephone lines are also a black hole. I have always given up after about 10 hours. VE doesn't care about customers or acknowledge their support issues and they apparently leave a lot to be desired where staffing decisions are concerned. It is a hodgepodge disaster of Asterisk servers in an office in the Chicago suburbs. Do not even think about going with this provider. I'd say I wish I still had Vonage but actually I think I'm done with VOIP and running straight back for copper dial tone.

I've found it impossible to get through to their sales/billing line during the day, so I woke up early Seattle time in order to call right when it opened at 8:01AM CST. I've now been on hold 2 hours and three minutes. I signed up for VoiceEclipse a month ago and made the Local Number Portability request at the same time. I received the auto response with the form the had to be fax in. The provided fax number did not work (and yes I was calling from a regular land line using a regular fax machine). The only successful response to email yet was another fax number, which did work, but further requests to confirm the fax was received have gone unanswered. That was weeks ago. So, here I sit, 2 hours and six minutes on hold, waiting for someone to give me the status of my request. I've not even plugged the box in (the boxes above marked OK should be Don'tKnow but that's not an option) as it's a non-starter without LNP. In fact, I wish VOIP companies couldn't starting charging until the change was done, then it would be speedy and they would care. David

Reviewers Comments:

I had vonage for 1 year and loved their service. I might have had to reset the converter 2 or 3 times in the year I had them. I moved and decided to try Packet 8. The voice quality was fine but is seamed like I have to reset the phone system every other week. I had to keep them for a year due to the contract. I wanted to keep my number and if I put in for a number transfer it would have exceeded the trial period. So I dealt with having to reset the phones quite often. The Packet 8 web interface it terrible. Vonage has a much more user friendly webpage. I decided I was not going to go back to Vonage yet. I changed over to a company called VoiceEclipse. There was not a year contract with them. When I set up the converter box they sent me the cordless phones did not ring. Only my 1 corded phone rang in the house. When I would place a call or receive a call the voice was very choppy on both side of the call. I called technical support and they said the needed to boost the signal and proceeded to do so. The phone now rang a little better but the voice was just a choppy. I also now would hear in the background while on the phone a few small beeps every 30 seconds or so. It was not the call waiting. With this I decided to try another company. I am currently using VoicePulse and have been doing so for the last month and a half with no problems. Sound quality is excellent, caller ID displays the name & phone number of the caller along with all of the usual features. If I do not reply to this post then you know I am still a happy customer.

I have recently disconnected my VoiceEclipse service because of constant outages and call connection issues. The product offered is not worth the 20$ you spend because daily you will need to reboot the router for the service to work. The outbound calls hardly complete! Customer Service is non existence. Sales staff is horrible liars. Technical staff seams to be incompetent. I would suggest going with SunRocket or another provider who cares about your business.

Reviewers Comments:

This being my first trip down the VOIP road and after much research, I wasn't sure what to expect. Install was turn key. After install I was very disappointed with the quality. Back to research and becoming educated about QoS. I discovered that my current Linksys WRT54G wireless router supported QoS. After setting up the router for QoS the quality improved beyond my expectations. Its too bad that tech support didn't mention this to me but other than that they have been responsive and helpful in making the transition. Other than 10 digit dialing even in the local area, and the activation fee, I am good with their service.

Arrived in time, Real easy setup. The first 3 days I was very pleased, and I was just about to cancel Vonage, when my second line went down and I rebooted the modem, and it came back on. I'm cool with that as long as it fixes it, no big deal. The next day both lines went down, and nothing I can do will fix it. It has been down now for 32+ hours, I have sent 5 emails to all email addresses, there is no auto-responder to even let you know that they have received the message, and I have called all phone numbers, tech support, and sales with no response. I have been on hold for well over 10 minutes each time. On the sales line it says you can press 1 to leave a message which I did press 1 and it put me
