Reviewers Comments:

ECR Voice has been very simple to set up and use, and customer service is always willing to go the extra mile when there are difficulties. There are also some cool features you don't see everywhere like selective forwarding/acceptance/rejection and simultaneous ring features. There are a couple of "super discount" providers out there who are slightly cheaper, but I just don't want to risk dealing with somebody who doesn't speak english or having crappy service. I can always reach the ECR people and understand what they are saying. GREAT company!

Reviewers Comments:

ECR Voice initiated my service with a temporary number that lasted about two months, meaning that I couldn't give out my real number to anyone until I got it. The switch-over was sudden with no forwarding service. Dial tone disappeared on the average of once a month. ECR told me they need two days to respond to e-mail concerning outages, so Live Chat is the only way to get things resolved. Live Chat sessions generally exceeded thirty minutes, with the CSR typing "One moment please" every five minutes. It took me at least two Live Chat sessions to resolve an outage on average. Lost dial tone was always resolved at their end -- meaning their system had it wrong -- and involved several reboots on my part for each incident. Once, for at least ten days continuously, callers would receive a busy signal (not voicemail) and the CSR steadfastly refused to explain why. If you have nothing better to do than to be at the beck and call of mindless, faceless CSR ninnies, this is the company for you. You should also be aware that ECR gets a "low price" score on this website -- but only because of two hidden charges, a bogus recovery fee of $1.50 per month and a bogus e911 fee of $1.50 per month. This website would do consumers a favor if it would report the true total cost of monthly service corrected for such three-card-Monte shenanigans. Bad service, bad price, bad quality. I stayed with them three months too long because I didn't want to go through the trouble of having to change my phone number again. If only I had known about their shenanigans before I signed up!
