Here is an update for current Sunrocket VoIP service customers who are wondering what their options are for a new VoIP phone service as the news about Sunrocket's closure spreads. Sunrocket customers may lose their phone service at any time and all Sunrocket phone services will be discontinued by AUGUST 5th 2007.

The only good news here is that there are VoIP phone service options. Some of the major VoIP service provider companies have started to issue special sign-up offers for current Sunrocket customers. Please note that the following special sign-up offers are for current Sunrocket customers only.

The following VoIP providers have the current special offers for current Sunrocket customers:

1. ViaTalk are offering a limited time Contract Buyout, as well as $199/year unlimited plans, 2 phone lines and no initial equipment fee.
2. VoIP.com are offering FREE shipping, FREE set-up (a $30 value) and FREE softphone on their $199 per year unlimited calling plan.
3. VoIPYourLife are offering a free adaptor and up to 2 virtual numbers for free.
4. Lingo are offering a FREE adaptor, FREE shipping, FREE activation and an option for 1 month FREE for monthly plan ($21.95/month) or a $195/year plan.
5. Packet8 are offering no start up costs, 1 month FREE, keep your phone number and "port it quickly" phone number options.
6. Earthlink are offering FREE equipment, FREE activation, no contract and $19.95/month for their unlimited plan.
7. Zingotel are now offering a Contract Buyout for current Sunrocket customers in the form of 3 Months Service Credit for their residential unlimited VoIP phone service plan. They are offering to port your Sunrocket phone number or you can get a new one.
