I'm in Canada, and have been a VYL subscriber for 1.5 years... I'm very happy with their
service. Our initial connection was problem free and call quality was great... Since our initial
sign up we've had occasional bouts of less than optimal call quality, and a simple call to
VYL's tech support solved all concerns promptly... I would highly recommend this VOIP
provider
VOIPYOURLIFE is a great service for what you pay.
Great Features, but the Best part is I can get an email notification on my
SmartPhone/Cellular.
Originally I was a SunRocket customer , until they gave their customers 1Days notice and
shutdown. SunRocket had a great service but obviously did not review their Business
Model/Finances closely enough to make it a long term endeavor. So Teleblend offered to take
over their accounts after many people paid 2 years service in advance, "always a bad idea".
Instead Teleblend offered a low cost rollover plan. Teleblend is possibly "THE WORST VOIP
Provider" out there. Once rolled over to Teleblend it would not maintain a telephone call for
more than 2 minutes.
Now keep in mind that at that time I had an enterprise level vpn appliance & NEC
VoIP phone
that I was testing for a client which worked "flawlessly with my cable modem". So the issues
with Teleblend were most definitely resource issues with there equipment and/or faulty
equipment on my end. However the Gizmo was working when SunRocket was in business.
Okay! Back to VOIPYOURLIFE.
For a VoIP service this is as good as it gets. I am sure there are better but you get what you
pay for. $$$$$$$$$$
Please consider using a GLBA/SOX/HIPAA compliant password with your admin account.
Phreakers/Crackers love using your VoIP connection. Basically have an Alpha Numeric
password that is a Sentence from your favorite book and/or author.
Another great feature is the availability to use a SIP based telephone such as SJPhone or X-Lite , which are free to download. Use google to find them.
Unless you want to invest in an Enterprise Class solution and spend 50K on a Cisco VOIP
device ,
and $500 per month for a T1 line , this is as good as it gets.
Here are some of the great features listed below.

I have used the service for months now. the quality is very good and network reliability has
not been an issue at all. I don't use all of the features, but have no complaints about the ones
I use. it wouldn't break my heart to spend a little less each month, but the old saying is true
that you get what you pay for.
Customer service is US-based and the reps actually know how to answer my questions.
I
haven't tried other providers, mostly because of the reviews I read on the internet from actual
users. I picked voip your life because of the good reviews I found on and the fact that
I didn't
have to sign a contract.
bottom line--this service has been great for me and I recommend to anyone reading that they
give it a try.
Outstanding no frills VoIP service. Ordering was smooth, transition from Sunrocket was
easy and fast. line quality is outstanding...much better than what I had with Sunrocket
which I was also very pleased with. It is the only VOIP service I've had that has worked
with my old fax machine without a hitch. I've not had a network outage since I've had the
service. I've had Vonage, Comcast and Sunrocket and the reliability of VoIP Your Life is
unparalleled with any other VoIP service I've had. My only gripe about VYL is the feature
set is very limited compared to its competitors. We run a small business out of the home
and with our previous provider we were able to use the virtual number to go to a separate
voice mail for all business calls. This is not available with VYL. The virtual number
goes to the same voice mail as the primary number. The member web site is very vanilla.
Looks like it hasn't gone through a redesign in many years. It appears very antiquated
especially if you are used to Sunrocket or Vonage member sites. Though this may be
changing since the home page was recently updated. With that said, the UI is still
functional and very easy to use. There is also no network outage forwarding...but they
have proven that you don't need it. You will find better feature set for the price
elsewhere, but if you are just looking for rock solid reliability, I would
definitely
recommend VYL.
After reading about Vonage and some of the others I was more than a little scared about
trying this. Now I am so happy. Absolutely as reliable as any phone service that I have ever
had and at half the cost. The calls could be louder but the sound quality is excellent. The bills
are a piece of cake. My one PROBLEM, faxing, I have the line mostly for family calls and the
occasional business fax out of my home office. If the fax is more than 5 pages, you will
probably have an issue. I new this could be an issue going in. Sharp makes a broadband
fax, might be worth packaging with this if you home office with any frequency. I wanted to
share my 2 cents since this is where I made my decision. Sales staff was helpful and I was
up and running in 4 days with a number I picked, haven't had a single problem beyond faxing.
No phone calls to customer service, how much is that worth? Good Luck.
Expensive service. They messed up my invoice. Sent to wrong email address. blocked few
international calling card toll free numbers. Paying a hefty service fee per month decided
to switch to viatalk. The same number blocked in VoIPYourLife worked great with
ViaTalk. Got my own device. With 8MBps downstream, 412KBps, Viatalk is flying. It took me a
day to set up my device with one third of the service fee and 3 times more feature than
VOIPYourLife. What best do you expect from Viatalk ? What more trouble do you expect from
VOIPYourLife ?
I tried them for 3 weeks and had daily crashes of voip and network when ATA was before
router. Calls lost my voice after 2 minutes of call regularly. I gave them 3 weeks to adjust
and reboots almost daily. Service was very unreliable. Found this site looking for an answer
to who has good service. Do not shop for the cheapest provider (voipcom) they are worse.
You pay for what you get!
We had Vonage (twice) and dumped them finally.
I found this company online (here actually) and decided to try them.
They are great and here's why:
Customer Service: always available, based in USA and they answer nearly immediately
without having to go thru vm hoops. They are helpful and answer questions promptly,
themselves-no transferring to other depts! This was a huge plus for us.
International Calling: Reliable and great sound quality.
Sound Quality: NO ECHOES! great sound, period.
Ease of use: It's a no brainer, once it's connected you can use your regular phone/cordless.
Features: Extensive feature list-music on hold or when you click over is nice and there's a
do not disturb feature and a wake up call! They have a counterpart softphone also that can
be downloaded onto your computer and you can use it just like your regular phone to answer
and place calls with all of the features available. Everything is at your fingertips on the web
and your voicemails can be delivered to your phone AND your email.
Pricing: Fair and Reasonable-a good deal really.
I may sound a little over enthusiastic, I never write things like this, however, I love a great deal
and we're really happy with voipyourlife. I hope they're around forever!
thanks-hope this review was helpful.

I had really bad experience with voipyourlife.com. I had to call technical service to set
this up (which I didn't have to for my previous provider - I am quite familiar with these
hardware and computer in general). That was acceptable. But the killer was when I tried to
port my number, which they promised initially was maximum 2.5-3 weeks. I waited for 6 weeks
with multiple calls and emails to follow up with customer service on the status of the
number porting. They rarely reply to your emails, and when they do the answers are not
good. The call quality started OK but my friends soon started complaining that they cant
hear me (despite a 5Mbps internet connection - which I frequently test for speed). After 3
months, it was getting worse, so I thought enough was enough and discontinued the service.
I got a complete bill though I disconnected after 20 days of the month. Then I thought
what's the point in dealing with that customer service. The shocker was a month later, when
they charged me again!!! I call them up again, and the rep agrees to not charge it again
and sends me the confirmation mail. Now the confirmation mail reaches me with the next
surprise - I have to ship the adapter back to them at my expense in 14 days or they will
charge me another $100. How about that?
I have been a tech guy all along. I have used just about everything internet offers and
have dealt with various dealers and service providers. To be frank, this was one of the
worst experience.
The international plan was the kicker for me, between my wife and I we talk about 30 to 50
hours a month international. we have family and kids everywhere. I am a designer of
Carrier class VoIP and next generation telephony devices. While there user management
GUI
lacks any flare, the base features and management is functional and has been very reliable.
It must follow the "kiss principle".
no outages by this provider in 6 months of service. 1 or 2 dropped calls a month. has
been as reliable as ma bell.
Voipyourlife is one of the of the best
VoIP service provider. I tried ZingoTel which was
alright for a while, but then they automatically changed my plan from Personal to Business
and I ended up with a big bill, and I couldn't get my money back as everything DOES imply
according to their contract.
Before ZingoTel I had Primus, which was a bitter experience because they started charging
for net works, and had a lot of billing problems. Voipyourlife is the first company that I
have found provides very good customer service, a lot of great features and are very honest
in their billing process.
This is our first voip phone experience...we will be in Boquete Panama for approximately 8
weeks and we wanted to have phone and internet availability where we are staying and we
have had nothing but a great experience.. the clarity of the phone conversations is
amazing ..we have made and received numerous phone calls from New York, Florida,
California etc and have nothing but crystal clear calls.. no dropped phone calls.. everyone that
we have spoke to back in the states said that it sounds like we are sitting right next to
them. I did purchase a Panasonic DECT 6.0 digital phone before heading down to Panama. I
don't know if that helped the clarity of the calls or not but this system has been excellent up
to this point. If anyone is interested in the cat # of the phone it is
KX-TG1032S.
Have had crystal clear calls through VOIP Your Life for over a year now. Setup and running
within 2 days of getting the package in the mail. Customer service was very helpful.
Service is feature rich and mostly reliable although there have been 3 or 4 times in the
past year where there is no dial tone for half a day or so. Otherwise, the service has
been exactly what I was looking for when I made the leap to VOIP.
A tech company that uses real, live, human beings to answer the phone after a couple rings
and no automated system!!!
A tech company whose employees are native english speakers so you can understand every
single word they say!!!! Heart be still........
Those two elements alone were enough to convince me to use VYL. Add a rich complement of
features like their virtual number (so family back home who aren't VOIP customers can dial
a local number at their end and avoid ATT/QWEST long distance charges). The ability to
track ALL calls online, (landline service requires you to get a subpoena for local calls if
you need to prove they had been made) the ability to set up the features you want and
disable the ones you don't (I want my answering machine to take the calls, not the
computer), and a long list of features I can turn on or off as the need arises.
I have no problem with Caller ID.... it shows up on my phone with names, so maybe it's a
hardware handshake thing that's preventing people from seeing who is calling. My phone at
home is a Uniden CLS 475-3 which is a three handset system that I can expand with a half
dozen more. Works fine.
I had a little difficulty setting up my system due to Qwest's customer disservice. Dealing
with THEIR multi-layer automated system was a nightmare, but that's a whole 'nother story.
I've had relatively clear transmissions, and no dropped calls. There has been a noticeable
lag time between dialing and connecting, but you get used to it. (only slightly annoying,
but I'll try the # trick). For cutting my phone service cost in half, I'm more than
content with what I'm getting and what I'm paying for it. No commitments. Who cares what
their website looks like as long as everything works.....and it does.
This is a good company that understands the most basic concept of the service they provide:
CLEAR COMMUNICATION
