We left AT&T for 1-VOIP, mainly due to costs. AT&T was charging about $48/month, with few options available. I did some research and found 1-VOIP. Not a large company - very easy to get through and talk to real people. Our monthly cost is now a few cents above $14. There are many more options, exactly the same voice quality. I especially like the option where a caller has to enter another number before their call will ring through. This has cut our spam calls down to just about zero. The setup was easy; just make sure you follow their direction closely and you will have no problems.

I only wish I had discovered 1-VOIP sooner! After years of not great service with a Skype- telephone number I am so glad Skype was discontinued and caused me to look for another service. 1-VOIP has great connectivity at a very reasonable price. The help from customer service is outstanding, both with the set-up and afterwards. I compared with other companies and felt they were best, and after 6 months I still think so. If you need the service they provide, look no further!

Firstly, let me state that the description and all those prices are way off! The North America-only thing for $9 does not exist. You can only obtain the American and Canadian value rate pricing, so there isn't a 'cheap' option, regardless of what they claim. As far as value, yes, for all VoIP, you're usually cutting your cord, opting out of cable, and trying to get away from the cable/phone company. It tends to be cheaper with more features, and most of these types of services offer an app that allows you to use your cellphone and VoIP as well (this one does too), so nothing new. This one does have some nice features with spam blocking and fax service. However, as far as voice quality is concerned, I've had it for about a year now, and when I make most of my calls from my phone, I am told by the person on the other end that they can't hear me well. I have had better luck on the app, so not sure if my home data provider knows it's them and is purposefully messing with them (I know they can mess with the packet loss for specific sites and throttle, FCC changed the regulations), but it defeats the purpose of replacing my landline for the house when it doesn't work well calling with the phone from the wall. Customer service is not excellent, and you really need to use the website to find information and a PDF on how to do things, but it's available if you look for it. I've had it not connect calls or drop calls too often to say it's reliable all the time. However, it's been about as reliable as the old service was, so I'll put it in the middle, since it's neither better nor worse.

This really works; went from 15-20 robocalls a day to zero so far. PLUS customer and technical service is terrific. Readily available and staffed by very knowledgeable people with good customer relations skills.

So far only pros. They have gone the extra mile to explain everything so I could understand all the features. They were very patient as I had multiple questions. Very short hold times waiting for the service agent. Never had to answer questions asked by a computer before putting me through to a live agent. In summary, great service, able to answer every question I had, very respectful, got a human every time I called.

I just started recently and the service works very well. When Skype dissolved, I needed to find a phone service. I actually like this better as I am able to connect with customer service for questions. I am in the Philippines a lot and need to call the US. And the calls seem very clear. I like the app also.

I work for a small church and have helped them transition from an expensive big phone company to the 1-VoIP service. We signed up for 1-VoIP for a little over six months now. The customer service has has always been excellent. They recommended we use the Residential plan since we do not use phone service much. Recently I discovered a billing error, and they were very quick to rectify it. As I mentioned, we don't use it very much, but when I do it's been great. I'm able to use our phone at work (that they already had) with an adapter and I can also use the app on my mobile phone to make and receive calls from wherever I am (I often work from home). I highly recommend.

Recently moved to a new state, took our 1-VoIP box with us, and somewhere en-route lost the 'Setup' sheet. Sent an email to the online 1-VOIP Technical Support mail address midday on a Sunday, and was pleasantly surprised to get an almost immediate response outlining what I needed to do, which I did and was up online in short order. Amazing tech support. Thank you.
