We have used a few providers for VoIP in the past. Our local cable company, 8x8, and Skype. Skype was actually the best of those three, but still not good enough to run a business through. We found Improcom hoping for the best and they have delivered. It has been a few months since we started using their service and every call has connected through with little to no problem. That was the major issue with Skype is calls not connecting and ending up in voice mail automatically. This has not happened even once since we started using Improcom. We are using a soft phone with their service which has gone well. Every issue we have had so far was related to the soft phone software. Their customer support response time through e-mail has been very quick though, about 5-20 minutes per inquiry. That's about it. They're not the cheapest around, but with Improcom we have one thing now that we never had before and that is confidence in our phone system. And that is crucial to running a business that relies on customers calling in for orders or needing customer service.

I would strongly recommend IMPROCOM. As a small business owner, you want your VOIP phone system to basically be plug and play, and to not have to worry about call quality or reliability. The folks at IMPROCOM have been our partner for 5 years and have supported us through three office moves, varying employee turnover and new employee on-boarding and varying degrees of in-house bandwidth issues. When I've needed them, I've never waited more than 10 minutes for an email or phone response, which is frankly amazing, and I'm always met with a can-do, proactive attitude. As our business has changed quite a bit, its been highly gratifying to know there is a supplier at least on one critical part of our business that is as reliable and service-centric as you could possibly hope.
