Reviewers Comments: Frequently phone service goes out. I would disconnect and reconnect. Most of time this works. After a year I could not get the system to work even with their customer service. Technical service came back with a detailed email which required a true technical man. I was befuddled and just unable to help myself . I just wanted an adapter replacement. I am without a phone for over two weeks. I am dropping Ooma and want you to be careful if you want them.

Reviewers Comments: I have had OOma now for over 6 months and the service is honestly trying to help those who call, yes there is actually a phone number still. The only problem is the audio delay that sometimes causes you to 'talk over' the other person almost like the days of the push button walkie talkie. That is absolutely the only extended issue having with this voip phone service. Unfortunately on professional calls, it can seem not so 'professional'. Reliable hardware. I would recomend this service to anyone as it seems like this company has thier act together and are actively seeking to illiminate problems.

Reviewers Comments: I've had Ooma for about 2 months now and couldn't be happier. I bought the Ooma Telo at Best Buy on sale for $200, brought it home and had it setup with a temporary number within 15 minutes. I used the temp number until I was satisfied with the service and then had my number ported over which took about 2 weeks, which is typical. No hassels, handled very easily. I have the ooma plugged into a wall outlet so it is used through the house on all phone jacks and works awesome. No clarity issues, never a dropped call, very dependable. I make all calls within the US and my cable speed is 20 up and 2 down so it works great. One thing I wish they would make better is I do not like call rude (waiting) and it would be nice to have the option to turn that off from the admin dashboard but I had to contact support to make that change. I give this equipment a very high rating. I selected to opt out of the premier package as I just don't need it so my phone bill is now under $4 a month to the feds for taxes - I'm serious, how can you get any better than that! Any questions or concerns? Don't hesitate to buy this.

Reviewers Comments: Ooma sells you the hardware (Telo, $200) then provides you with service. You do not need a computer running, just broadband internet service. You can send dial tone throughout your home and keep using your existing telephones (wired or cordless) if you like them. You pay the taxes and 911 fees of ~$3.50 per month, that's it. Basic service includes calling number ID, call waiting, E911, and home _and_ internet-accessible voicemail. There is optional "Premier" service for $10 per month, for with you get a second line, call screening, calling name ID, and more. You can keep your current telephone number for a one time $40 transfer charge. I have been using Ooma for a year, and others have been using it since 2004. The hardware is high quality and the service has been very reliable. Sometimes, my conversations have experienced a lag, like cellphones, but I read on the Ooma user forums that most people get very good voice quality (as I do). I am very satisfied with this service.

Reviewers Comments: I had Sunrocket and Vonage previously. With both, the call volume was too high and I had to hold the phone away from my ear, and my phones had volume control turned all the way down. Ooma's quality is excellent and the service has been reliable. And I LOVE being able to screen my calls and access voicemail with an answering-machine device and/or web and/or phone in.
