It took two tech visits, but my phone is working great! I call family from all over the US, in California, Minnesota, Florida, and Kentucky. Crystal clear sound is a real change from Qwest. My grandma, uses the local with more and her high speed internet bundled at $71.50 plus 3 in tax. I know Comcast is the best value out there, but I think their customer service needs improvement. At least I almost never need to call them. Qwest offers bundled phone and internet at 6mbs for a promo rate of almost 90 plus tax, my gram pays less then 75 a month and it's not a promo! I did not get that jack my price up ad. Qwest is the company with contracts and rate hikes!

Reviewers Comments:

got the comcast bundle, Comcast really sucks for phone service, ISP & cable are ok, I had Embarq and am going back to them, a cable company is not a phone company and cannot compete with a phone company who has been around for years and customer service sucks, they charge 2.00 for a directory assistance call and there were times I couldnt get out on my phone, they are a joke for phone service, dont waste your time.

Reviewers Comments:

I have been foolish enough to have Comcast bundled service (cable, phone and internet) at two residences, Big mistake major headache super aggravation and general bad bad experience. In the first case the phone and internet installer ( I had the TV already) put the wireless device for the phone in my living room and not where the phone line came into the house. When he left the other phone jacks didn't work and neither did the intercom. Next visit the new tech guys tells me what a pinhead the last guy was and tries to fix the problem by moving equipment to the garage. Two days later no service. Tech #3 thinks he is the world's smartest man and changes the configuration in the garage. Two days later . . .no internet service. Five more service calls each with supervisors and i have been told every excuse in the book. Signal too strong, too weak, my equipment defective, i need new wiring ( house is new) splitter in the street is the problem. These service calls are over an hour sometimes two. I these guy spend more time I will have to charge them rent. STILL NOT WORKING CONSISTENTLY. Experience #2 The other house service is shut off because bill is sent to the wrong address. Takes three days to get turned back on and I am forced to pay $100 plus to reconnect. The technician reconnects and nothing works. Tech guy is annoyed that he has to work in the house and clearly knows NOTHING about cable boxes or modem or phone. After 90 minutes he announces that one of the cable boxes needs to be replaced { You should know Comcast gives out used equipment that they don't test and it causes lots of problems} But the one he replaces it with does not have optical input recepticle so he jerry rigs the stereo system i have in a way that changes the setting on the display so that "cable" does control cable and a bunch of wires are plugged into the front of the amp. He promises to come back the next day with the right equipment. Week later all service goes out phone, internet and TV. The customer "service" dept. gives me an incredible run around and tell me service can't be restored for five days. I go to the main office 25 minute drive. They tell me service in out in the whole area for 18 people and will back on soon. Nothing happens. i call again and am told on the phone there is no record of any problem except for me . I explain my frusutration and am transferred to a supervisor. After being on hold for 25 minutes the call is dropped. I call back and am told there is an area outage. i spent 3 hours on the phone . These people are shameless on the corporate level and don't deserve to be in business. Just imagine if you had s fire or a medical emergency would you want to be at the mercy of the Comcast Clowns

Reviewers Comments:

Sound quality is horrible. We often have to repeat parts of conversation. Technical assistance blames everything but their service. Our previous VOIP service was excellent, but more expensive. So we tried Phone Power. It will now cost us $99 termination fee plus the cost of shipping their equipment back. DO NOT CONSIDER PHONE POWER AT ANY PRICE!

Reviewers Comments:

I order the bundled service from comcast to save a few dollars. Big mistake my experience here and at another property is that the customer service is terrible and that hen there is a service call it is often followed by more problems. Typically the service person comes and exclaims that there are shocked by what the previous technician did. Having said that I should say that I have two phone lines including a fax line and that my doorbell is hooked up to the phone. Comcast has made a pig's breakfast out of this and wasted lots of my time and caused lots of negative energy. If there is any complexity to your phone service in your home don't be stupid and try and save a nickel. the other beef I have with Comcast is that they typically give you used equipment turned in by other customers. There is inadequate testing of this equipment . In essence you test the equipment for them. My phone system has gone out four times since the initial install. Comcast does not believe in training its employees and doesn't really give a rip about its customers. Maybe there is no surprise there.
