AxVoice were originally founded in 2005 and provide internet phone service for home users and small businesses. This service requires that you have an existing high speed internet connection (e.g. DSL, cable modem etc.). AxVoice provide different plan options to meet different user needs, such as pay as you go plans, low minute usage plans, unlimited domestic and international plans.
Axvoice provide a good selection of affordable plan options so most home phone service users should find a plan to meet their needs. This includes a no monthly fee outgoing calls only plan, a low cost pay as you go plan, a limited minutes plan for USA/Canada calling, an unlimited calling plan (their flagship service and best value plan), and a couple of international calling plans (one that covers around 45 countries and one that covers over 60 countries).
The Axvoice plans boast a good selection of features (30+) included free plus some optional features at additional low monthly fees (toll free numbers and virtual numbers). Many of these are standard now with most service providers, such as caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, enhanced voicemail and E911 support. Some stand-outs include support for various Codecs (great for users who have lower Internet speeds), Simultaneous Ring, Music on Hold, Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) support, and Voicemail audio files sent to email.
Other factors considered to be good for the user are a 15 day money back guarantee, free hardware and activation, the ability to transfer your existing number (also known as number porting), low international calling rates (starting at 1.5c per minute) and a Mobile App for smartphones (iPhone and Android both supported).
The 15 day money back guarantee has some limitations that should be understood. It does not include the shipping and handling fees, it is 15 days from the activation of the account, and you must not exceed 200 minutes of usage during those 15 days. You must return ALL the equipment provided by them in the original packaging within 10 days of cancellation (includes cables, manuals etc) and you are responsible for paying the return shipping.
A $19.99 shipping and handling fee is charged when you order the service. This is higher than many other providers charge (many in the range of $10 to $15), although a small amount in the grand scheme of the savings you will enjoy.
Like most (if not all) service providers the "unlimited" plans include a reasonable usage policy, which for Axvoice is 3,000 minutes. This is to protect them against extreme users. If you exceed this limit you will be charged at a rate of 1.5c/min.
The knowledge base in their support section of their website is decent but there is no phone support. Also, customer support hours are 7am to 8pm EST. You can submit a ticket online at any time though.
If you don't like the idea of paying annually then the monthly rate is quite a bit higher if you are considering the unlimited calling plan. See below for the bottom line.
If you are considering an USA/Canada unlimited calling plan for your home then we would recommend taking a look at the Axvoice annual payment option. This is a very competitive option with a great feature set. Their International plans are also cost competitive with the likes of Vonage.

Setup took a while longer than I thought it would. Not the fastest response from technical support. Works great though and great features.

Good call quality, decent package pricing and nice range of features. Full marks to this product from my side.

I am Tony from Seattle. A couple of months back I got a good job in Connecticut and I had to move here. Because of my kids schooling, I could not take them along with me, but I miss them a lot. I talk to my family on a daily basis. To be honest with you, long calls on a daily basis were turning out to be pretty costly for me. I read about Axvoice online and their Free In-Network calling feature. I bought an Axvoice unit for myself and got one delivered to my family. Now I can talk to them all I want and for only the basic monthly charges. This is something I am really happy about.

It's a good VoIP service and I like it very much. The website doesn't boast about what they don't provide but overall a nice deal and their customer support seems fine to me.

I get decent call quality. I won't say crystal clear but with the price package that they are offering, I could not ask for more. The Do Not Disturb feature is my favorite as I don't like getting disturbed at all while I am asleep. In short a thumbs up from me.

I quite like Axvoice for their services. My job requires me to make like hundreds of calls every day and as an entrepreneur of a startup, it was really necessary for me to manage my expenses. I have the unlimited International data plan as most of my clients are from outside the US. Everything is good about the service.

The adapter was free with a fee of $19.99 for shipping when I signed up. Now they say I'm being charged $39.99 for the adapter and have to pay to return it, provide tracking and then follow it to request the $39.99 back two days after it's received. So don't believe that the adapter is free if you sign up. They get you at the end. Terrible customer service only by email. Strange, hard to read bills, instructions, and communication with computer code mixed in with words.

I will have to say that with decent call quality and pretty low rates, Axvoice could be anyone's first choice, but my decision of selection was based on their "Do not disturb" feature. My mom is not well and she has odd timings of sleep. It had happened a few times that she had just fallen asleep and the phone rang. This thing was irritating and pretty concerning for me for some time but then I came to know about this feature that would redirect all calls to my voicemail without the phone ever ringing. Seriously speaking it is something that I can't thank Axvoice enough for.

Easy and simple, the Axvoice top-up package of $5 a month is one cool thing. Easy on the pocket and gets you all you want.

I run my own office and I have to travel a lot in this regard. I heard about Axvoice and their simultaneous ringing feature. This was just the thing I was looking for. This feature helps your incoming calls ring on your mobile phone apart from your Axvoice phone and helps me carry on my work while on field. A good recommendation for any small or medium business.

Overall connection is okay but since the account was setup I have continuous disconnects on outbound calls over 15 minutes. I had several email exchange with AxVoice and they "fixed" the issue a couple of times but in the past weeks the issue reoccurred. I get no support whatsoever (no email reply in the past 24hrs), there is no number I can call for support and I'm getting really frustrated, caught into a contract that I can't cancel w/o a $50 fee. My mistake, I should have seen the red flag re: no support number.
