Intulse Review by WhichVoIP

The Company

Intulse was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They provide VoIP phone solutions to business organizations of all sizes with a focus on amazing customer service and transparent pricing.

The Good

The first thing we typically address in our review of providers is their pricing information. In a market of hundreds of options this still tends to be an important factor during the decision process for any business. Intulse has a pricing structure based on the number of users of the system. They take into consideration the number of employees as well as common areas like conferencing rooms, spare offices, and break rooms etc. and price accordingly. This is a fairly common method used in the industry. The thing that is less common is that their pricing is all inclusive of taxes and fees. These are some of the reasons they do not advertise their pricing on the website, you need to contact them directly for a customized proposal.

When you contact them for a proposal they also offer a free demo of their Intulse software. We think that is a good idea for those that are interested but if you are looking for quick pricing for a comparison then be prepared. A 30 day money-back guaranetee is offered providing some peace of mind if you decide to select them as your provider.

Features can also be an important factor during the selection process. Intulse list standard features including a software dashboard, CRM integrations, time based call routing, virtual receptionist, IVR, call recording, customized greetings, multi-way calling, conference calling, call transfers, company directory, custom hold music, ring groups, presence monitoring, voicemail, voicemail to email, call queues, caller ID, do not disturb, call forwarding, find me/follow me, number porting, faxing and E911. Customer service will help you select and set up features that best suit your calling needs.

Third party integrations include Salesforce, Hubspot, Redtail, SuiteCRM, Insightly, Wealthbox, RockRMS, AgencyBloc, and Zapier. If you need a specific integration you can simply ask them and if they accept your request they will develop it free of charge.

Intulse offer two options for new phone hardware through them, you can buy them outright or rent them. You can also bring your own device if you have existing IP phones that you want to use. They do charge a small provisioning fee if you supply your own devices. They do support many phones including manufacturers such as Cisco, Yealink, Grandstream and Polycom. The IP phones offered on their website are mainly Yealink phones, from basic deskphones through executive options as well as conference room phones and cordless handsets. There was no pricing detailed on their website at the time of review.

Support is available via email and a toll free or local phone number. They have a billing portal for keeping your payment information up to date or for reviewing your payment history. The support section on the website provides information broken into four categories; onboarding, dashboard App, your phone and network readiness.

The Bad

There is no pricing on the website so you need to contact them directly to get a custom proposal. We recommend this anyway if you are serious, but if you are just doing some quick research this could be a barrier.

Most providers offer unlimited calling included for one flat rate. Intulse mention "one set price" but there really is not any mention of calling minutes included in the plans. Maybe its part of their pricing structure but you will have to call them to know for sure.

We could not find any Terms of Service link on their website. Make sure you ask to see them before signing up just to be sure there are no gotchas.

The Bottom Line

  • VoIP phone solutions for businesses of any size.
  • Third party integrations available, plus open to implementing new integrations.
  • Contact them directly for pricing.
  • They offer IP phones for sell and for rent.
  • They can offer training packages.

Overall Thoughts

Intulse appear to have a solid product offering with a good feature set and dashboard App for managing your calls and messaging. Third party integrations specifically for the insurance and financial industries makes this a nice option for businesses in those markets.

There is no pricing available on their website but if they make your short list we always recommend getting in contact with the provider and get a quote. Every VoIP provider has different fees that get added so getting an actual quote is the only way to really do an apples to apples comparison.
