It is expensive and when I canceled they won't release my home telephone number that I have had for 24 years. I believe their customer reps work out of their home and some are not qualified to answer the phone. The new provider has been asking numerous times for my phone number....crickets!

Their service is absolutely terrible. We signed up for it two weeks ago and after no service the call blocking service is not allowing any calls to come through. My godmother, Sally, is 87 years old and she has been without service for the duration of the service. You really should be ashamed of you yourselves but I doubt that word is in your mind and in your heart.

There were no positives for this company. You pay $99 for equipment, $46.00 for the month and then NOTHING is refundable. We used their service for one week. It was terrible phone service. I would call and get a stranger, or static, just awful. Before install, they took our phone line from our provider (Frontier). Community Phone did not advise us that if your account number is your current phone number, then the whole account is cancelled! We lost Internet and cable, and could not reconnect! Lousy, horrible...DO NOT USE COMMUNITY PHONE!

Multiple calls to Community Phone and they could not fix any problems. They are just another arm of the corrupt system.

Way over priced. Go to other VoIP providers! Better customer service and all the features included at others. I paid $48 monthly and was charged for weeks when phone was not active! They wanted to give me a discount over the confusion over that issue but, still charged me regular invoice charges. Never use these scammers! Don't waste your money! Other VoIP providers charge in the region of $9.95 a month for the same and more features included with it like call blocking and many others!

Community Phone is a RIP OFF - I paid for a years subscription April 27th, phone is still non-functional on July 1st. They now say the card is faulty after several troubleshooting calls to no avail. When you try to cancel service and get a refund you get nothing but a run around. Avoid this company like the plague. Will publish this at social media and any public review at my disposal. The public needs to be cautioned against this.

I purchased Community Phone for my 80 year old mother who lives alone in a remote location...I was GUARANTEED that it would work there (it did not)...I was on hold for 45 minutes to find out how to cancel the service. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!

My opinions are based on my individual experience and are expressed for the purpose of helping Community Phone improve their services and policies. We used their service for a year. The initial setup was difficult, in that they did not give us a local area code and we had to work with their customer service to get that setup, it took weeks and required additional hardware. We also found that the sales team didn't tell the whole truth about their services. For one thing, they said they offered long-distance calling, but it was very difficult to make long- distance calls. You needed to essentially use a calling card that was for purchase at an additional cost. This was greatly inconvenient and required additional steps for making a long-distance call. Also, when we ended service, we were charged for the equipment, even though we returned it. They stated we did not return its back battery cover of the main unit and it had 2 small scratches on it (which we did not notice when we sent it to them). Prior to their charging us they agreed to let us send them the back cover to avoid the $100 fee. But then, a few days later they emailed and used the 2 small scratches on the unit to deny the refund even though we already took steps to send them back the missing cover. Overall, I would not do business with them again.

Tried Community Phone and their service was horrible, they use an A-I that does not recognize incoming calls from friends so it drops the calls. Cancelled service after a week and was told (after prepaying for a years service) NO REFUNDS! This is no way to operate and I will never recommend these people to anyone. They are very friendly at first but once you have a problem NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I would stay away from this provider at all costs. They do NOT care about their customers. I am without service since Monday, and they will not deliver a new device even though they CANNOT determine why I have no service. They said they would ship a new SIM card on Monday, and now they say it will be NEXT Monday until it is shipped. They also REFUSE to send a new device until I receive the SIM card to see if that solves the problem, which means if SIM card does not activate the phone, I have to wait ANOTHER WEEK WITHOUT PHONE SERVICE for the new device to arrive. THEY LIE to you and then act like its no big deal. DO NOT USE THEM AS A PHONE PROVIDER. Four representatives have LIED To me AND do not care I will have no service for over a week. Its totally disgusting. Their whole company is nothing but a SCAM!
