VOIP.com is unable to connect to quite a few numbers that I commonly use. This seems to be a persistent problem for many users on the help forum, has been known for months and has never been explained or resolved. I also have occasional service outages (for instance tonight). The sound quality is sometime acceptable, but often skips, clicks and garbles, although the internet connection is fast and high quality.

There is really not much more to add to all the previous reviews other then "DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!" It is terrible. I would be on business calls and suddenly lost the call, or so I thought. Apparently, I was on hold by some unknown manner. The others on the call would hear Musak playing and could not stop it. I could not hang up, because all I had was a dialtone. I gave up trying to get any assistance. Customer Service was simply non-existent. You must not use this service. It is better to use two tin cans and a string.

OK until you need help with anything at all. Hold times are horrible. Worst part, if you cancel service (even after you have fulfilled the 1 year agreement) you have to pay to ship the 20.00 router back (this thing is 3 yrs old and they want it back.) I pay shipping and tracking fees. They also want the 3ft long ethernet cable back! LOL, how hard up is this company. I was a customer for 3 years but so help us, get that 1.29 cable back to us or we'll charge you a fee! The fee by the way is $65.00 if you do not return the 20.00 router. Avoid VOIP.com at all costs.

I believe this is one person working from their garage do to how poor the customer support and sales support is. Just make one phone call to the 800 number. It will tell you that you are 1st in line and you will sit there for hours. Literally, I put it on speaker phone and suffered through the bad quality music for hours. Not just once, but three times different days of the week.
