B1 Communications is an 100% Canadian company, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, delivering VoIP phone service to the Vancouver Small Business community since 2013. Their Vancouver based team will be with you all the way from initial consultation, phone selection, features planning, and setup as they provide installation and on-site services. They state they are a people first business, being focused on long term relationships with customers and partners.
B1 Communications offer two (2) different plans, the Digital Extension plan and the Digital Extensions Plus Mobile plan. The Digital Extensions plan is advertised at $29.95 (CAD) per user per month. The Digital Extension Plus Mobile is advertised as $32.95 (CAD) per user per month. Volume discounts are available so you can expect lower pricing the more users you have.
Both plans have a common set of features, including free setup, number porting, unlimited North American calling, and over 30+ enterprise grade features. Those features include voicemail to email, auto attendant, dial-by-name directory, find me / follow me, after hour greetings, call transfer, call forwarding, custom hold announcements, advanced call routing, multi-location integration, smart call routing, an online portal, call recording, ring groups and departments, 3-way calling, and programmable transfer keys.
The Digital Extensions Plus Mobile plan includes the common set of features plus a mobile softphone App, a desktop softphone App, internal team chat, internal file sharing, an online dashboard, and popular CRM integrations.
They do offer some a la carte features that require additional fees per month. Virtual extensions (which are extensions that just use the mobile/desktop Apps and no desk phone) are $19.99 per user per month. Additional local and toll free phone numbers are $4.95 per number per month. There is a digital fax service which is offered with both local or toll free number options for $14.95 per month. A conferencing solution is also offered at $9.95 per month, which includes up to 25 users plus 500 minutes per month. A business text messaging feature is coming soon but was unavailable at the time of this review. International calling is available at additional competitive rates.
B1 Communications offer a range of IP phones, including desk phones, reception expansion modules, conference phones, cordless handsets, as well as some headsets and networking equipment options. All the VoIP equipment they offer is available to purchase outright, and the IP phones can be purchased or leased at affordable monthly rates. Lease options range from $3.95 up to $49.95 per month, depending on the model and type.
IP phone leasing can be a great option for those needing a whole set of new hardware and can save you the initial capital outlay required for such an upgrade. Their leasing program requires no upfront costs, no credit checks, is month to month, and they replace any defective phones. Based on the leasing rates the cost of the phones are spread over approx 18 months (i.e. the time it takes to recoup the cost of the phone).

No support section or knowledgebase articles available through their website. Only an issue if you like to do your own troubleshooting. Otherwise you need to call or email them with any questions or issues.
No information on volume discounts so you will have to contact them directly to get exact pricing based on the number of users you require.
Note that if you lease any IP phones then you will need to return them within 15 days if your agreement with them is terminated by them or you. You will be charged for the equipment if you do not return it.
The hourly rates are between $50 to $75 for onsite services requested by the customer, telecommunications consulting and expert advice. Onsite standard service call is $50 per hour.
If your agreement is terminated due to violation of the Acceptable Use Policy then you shall be subjected to a termination fee of $150. This most likely is very uncommon.
B1 Communications reserves the right to charge or limit the usage of telephone services that exceed "normal call volume" which is defined as 30% above their average customer call volume across their network, calculated by extension or business.
For terminating their service it mentions submitting a request for termination to the address listed in the agreement, but there does not appear to be one listed. It is a 30 day termination notice.
B1 Communications appears to be a good option for companies looking for a solid hosted VoIP phone solution in the Vancouver, Bristish Columbia region. They offer installation and onsite services which can really help the businesses that want that level of service. They also describe themselves as a people first business, suggesting that they will be there to help you whenever you need it.
