I purchased these lines for my home office. In the last 3 months there service has
been
down every other week. They never answer their phones. They don't respond to e-mails or
messages you leave. My call forwarding is not working. If you do talk to their "cust service
reps" (in India) they are rude and if they can't or don't want to help you, they will hang up on
you
DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE.... It's not worth the headache, there's plenty of other VOIP
services to choose from. This is the worst business decision I have made and it has cost me
thousands in lost jobs and sales.

As all others have said...stay away...stay far away. I actually filed a complaint with the
San Francisco BBB, and they just contacted me to tell me:
---
We regret to inform you the mail we sent to the business was returned as UNDELIVERABLE or
they are no longer in business.
---
I've switched to a new provider already, but the reports that Vonics may be gone now seem
to have a basis in reality. There are people reporting they got a note saying that the ISP
that supplies Vonics canceled their service which is why they are currently down (web site
is down too). But, my BBB complaint seems to indicate something a little more severe.
No customer service. Service is constantly not working. If you give them your credit card #
cancel it as they will add charges. These people should not be allowed in business.
Remarkable that they are still around. Avoid !!!
Hands down, the worst VOIP provider, ever. Every bad or negative comment you've read here
on this site is true.
And I'm astounded that they even get 3 (OK) ratings from anyone.
HORRIBLE customer service
Sound quality bad
Features bad, when one considers the price (Voicemail hasn't work properly for the past two
months), and my International prepay phone order NEVER worked.
Ordering took over 3 weeks, and the previous VOIP phone number didn't port for 5 weeks.
AVOID these scoundrels!!
This company is a complete SCAM. I am in the process of reporting them to the FBI and or
FTC for bordering illegal business practices. I am unable to get a hold of anyone to cancel my
service (after many, many attempts). The service will not work with another router very well
and even if you do get it to work, it won't for long and the sound quality is terrible. Please
listen to the negative reviews on this one!
When the service works it's fine. But when you have problems their customer service is
virtually non-existent. My service has been out for over a week and I can't get anyone at
Vonics to help me. It's a shame because I like their service/features otherwise.
Numerous dropped calls...calls abruptly cutting off in mid-conversation...VONICS box causes
internet disconnects couple of times a day.....customer service is useless on
telephone...their email customer service provides useless solutions.....they really rip you off
when you try to leave, charging three or four different previously undisclosed fees adding to
over $100
I am on my 6th month with Vonics. I've had random service disruptions every month. As a
matter of fact, I am on my 2nd day with no dial tone. E-mailed them 5 times and called 3
times to no avail. If it's not because I already paid for a year subscription, I would have
switched in a heart beat. I am even thinking of switching now and forfeit the rest of the 6
months and that is how bad and unreliable their phone/customer service is. Do not make the
same mistake as I did prepaying them a year in advance!
AVOID VONICS!!! This is a high level SCAM! Signed up for full year after SUNROCKET went
under. Vonics confirmed that my 2 existing numbers could/would be ported/transferred, and I
submitted my Letter of Authorization for them to do so. Thru NO effective Customer Service I
was unable to confirm the receipt of my LOA, and they did not notify me. I attempted to
cancel the service after 3 weeks, and the rep that I FINALLY reached said that they would
send me an email with info on cancellation the next day. EMAIL NEVER CAME. Finally, got
an address to return the equipment, but they had effectively stalled so that I did not qualify for
their 30-day Money-back guarantee. Expected a REFUND for the unused months that had
been pre-paid, but no refund came. Unable to contact Vonics thru Customer Service, and
their tactics of avoidance, I disputed the subscription charge with my credit card company.
Vonics response to this was to present the card company with a list of cancellation charges
and charge my card ADDITIONALLY for these fees rather than deduct from my full year's pre-
paid amount. They carefully list the various charges and fees, but ignore the credit of the
original $200+ pre-paid amount. In the on-going dispute thru the credit card company Vonics
has made TWO MORE charges against my account, and so far have collected $622 for the 6
weeks of VoIP service that I had with them. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade
Commission for this fraudulent practice.
Here are some names that Vonics users might recognize: Tarun, Lori, and Auri. They are the
people who answer all the technical support emails with their run around answers like ' Do
you need help?', 'My engineers will look into it', or ' We are upgrading the system and normal
service will return soon.' Or how about the annoying woman's voice telling you that ' We are
experiencing an unusually high volume of calls, but the next available agent will be with you
soon.' Finally you are told to leave a message - which never gets answered. This company
might have a post office box in San Francisco, but it is obviously an internet business based
in India, Pakistan, or the Philippines. IF you ever talk to a real person ( not just a recording) ,
Vonics employees always speak with heavily accented English. The Customer Service and
Technical Support is soooo bad that this could only be an internet scam. NO BUSINESS
could ever operate this poorly unless by design. I had their most expensive plan, and paid
upfront for a year - so I really got screwed by them. After months and months of fighting with
them over poor service ( my phone wouldn't ring when called, I constantly got the ' The
destination you called is unreachable' disconnect whenever I called overseas, my calls cut off
after 5 minutes, my service would die for days, I could not fax anyone, etc.) , I cancelled
payment to them .Amazingly, they noticed almost immediately and cancelled my service
proving that they know what is going on, and are just raking in the money and ignoring the
complaints. The ONLY way to deal with this company is to CANCEL them and any payment
you made to them. Oh, and these glowing reviews that you read about Vonics HAVE to be
planted reviews by Vonics owners/employees. These Vonics people know how the VoIP
business operates: most customers choose a VoIP company based upon positive reviews
that they read, the cheap rates available for paying a year in advance, and they don't have to
offer any customer or technical support once they have your money. It's almost a license to
steal, isn't it? They know that even in Pakistan.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS
A SCAM.
As others have said - STAY AWAY from Vonics Digital. I ordered their service and asked for
a new number. I did not transfer my old number. They gave me a number in a town 30 miles
away - meaning all my friends would have to dial long distance to call me. I asked Vonics
for a local number. They said, "No problem. You'll have it in 3 days." A month later,
several phone calls, and many emails and I still didn't have it. I asked to cancel the
service. They said OK. 4 MONTHS later I still haven't received my refund. Customer
service is NON-EXISTENT. You'll never speak to anyone. I finally called sales (where you
can speak to a real person) and I she said she'd forward the request for my refund to
accounting.
STAY AWAY from Voncis Digital!!!
