Reviewers Comments: ReliaClear has closed down and has not bothered to notify us customers. That is why there is no one answering the phones or the online web chat and no one in the office. This meant that I could not port my number out as there is no one there to handle it. They are still collecting money from customers and will probably hold out for as long as they can. So get out now while you can. I switched to another company (Bell). I have lost my number but at least I wont wake up one day to no phone service at all.

Reviewers Comments: The only good thing about Reliaclear is the price. They give terrible customer service, seems like there is only one person per section on any given day (I called and was informed that "Billing" wasn't at work that day). They keep a horrible record of payment. Never had I missed a payment when I received a seemingly threatening letter informing me of my new compound balance and late fees as they hadn't received a payment in a few months. Not only did they receive payment every month but I was able to monitor when the money was withdrawn from my account by them. When they demanded to see statements, it took them 3 weeks to acknowledge the payments and by then another bill was past due, (because no person in their right mind would send another payment into cyberspace after the last 2 hadn't yet been acknowledged)- accumulating new late fees. This has happened to me at least 3 times. Besides customer service the quality of service is horrible. If a conversation goes past one hour you are often disconnected. When somebody speaks too softly the noise is not transferred. If speaking too loudly, a beep cuts you off and the person on the alternate end of the line is silenced out, forcing you to hang up and redial. Throughout conversations, notable answering machine beeps are heard prompting a sneaking suspicion of monitoring. Nonetheless, I have stuck with them without direct complaining, as I guess you get what you pay for at $14.99 per month. I would recommend it only if you are willing to deal with conversations being disrupted at least 3 times a day (no over exaggeration). I would not recommend Reliaclear to anybody who runs a business out of their homes or needs firm security.

Reviewers Comments: This is my very own first VoIP company. Everyone is starting to get it so I thought I would give it a shot. I heard about ReliaClear through my neighbour who also has it. The package that I'm on is pretty good, giving me unlimited US and Canada but also 500 minutes to the country of my choice. The customer service was excellent from the moment I ordered my service, it arrived in four business days. No credit card was needed which is a plus for me, they simply just withdraw the funds out of my bank account every month. Unlike most voip companies I looked in to especially vonage, there were disconnection fees and such. With ReliaClear, they told me if I'm not satisfied with the service, they will take back my equipment and there will be no cost to me to try it. This is really important to me since this is my first voip company. Other than that, they have been great :) The quality is excellent and I just couldn't ask for me to stay in touch with my friends and family overseas.
