Reviewers Comments: I had gone with QuantumVoice back in 2005 as well, but when I moved I decided to try
Charter's new telephone service. Mistake - they were plagued with problems and seemed to be suffering from the multi-headed-beast syndrome. Finally I got frustrated enough and went back to QuantumVoice, and have again been very pleased. LNP still takes a couple of weeks or so if you care about that, but it's more a function of where the number is coming
from. QuantumVoice was also very helpful (great Customer Service - they will call you back if you wind up having to leave message) with a slamming incident - slamming is where rogue phone companies call you and phish for you to say the word "Yes" by asking a bunch of questions. If you say it - bam! they've got you recorded and will use that to switch you in hostile manner over to their crummy phone company. Be very careful what you say to people at numbers you don't recognize. Anyway, after talking to a guy for a couple of minutes, my wife figured out the call was bogus, most likely a slammer, and hung up. We immediately called QV to let them know what was up and not to switch us no matter what. The CS rep was very helpful, and highly informed on the slamming problem. He was thankful that we had called, he hoped they might be able to nail the &*#@s using the number we had. It is good to see a company in the field that is trying to help eradicate this heinous practice. Kudos to QV! I am proud to call them my VOIP provider. |
