Reviewers Comments: Horrible company, absolutely no customer service. It was cheap, so I 'experimented' with
using them as a second line for international calls for almost 3 years. Voice quality was
OK, but there was ALWAYS severe delay - regardless of domestic or international calls.
They kept billing my credit card reliably, but did not flag a problem when the expiration
date rolled around. I happened to log in to cancel my service and saw 3 months of service
not paid for - without nary so much as an email. As a matter of fact, they stopped
emailing me invoices after about 6 months? Zero customer service - and their live chat
feature actually routes you to another company's customer service... Funnier yet, all the
customer service reps over there indicate that they get all sorts of myphonecompany
customers asking for help, and all they can do is ask that you email MPC and fix the glitch
that is misrouting the customer service calls. Hilarious, if it wasn't so damn
frustrating... This is a worthless company - stay a long ways away. In the end, I ended
up going with Vonage, which has plenty of faults, but good call quality and lots of people
in India to answer your customer service phone calls. oh well... |

Reviewers Comments: Customer service? What customer service? For over a year now they still publish a monthly
bill in one amount, then charge another (they have never added the taxes to the printable
internet bill, they keep saying, "oh, we will have to do that". Right. No human beings are
involved in this company, it appears, as customer service is done only by email, and you are
lucky if you get anything other than the automated response. I also use the SoftPhone
service, the software has been updated over 40 times by the provider yet MyPhoneCompany
has never offered a single update or upgrade. Very rudimentary, but it does work.....most of
the time. |

Reviewers Comments: I was relying on MyPhoneCompany for a second line for work (I work from home), and this was
a huge mistake. Call/ sound quality for everyone I talked to was consistently poor - I only
wish colleagues and customers had not waited several calls to tell me that they could never
seem to hear me on their end. On my end, it was consistently inconsistent. Call forwarding
was equally inconsistent. I'd set this in the online administration web page, and it was
50/50 whether or not the call would actually forward. For anything complicated, like
forward after 10 seconds or 3 rings, it simply never worked. If my internet went down,
calls would not go to voicemail. I was told by several people that unknown to me, they had
been trying to call for several days and encountered either a busy signal or "this number
is not in service" message. Setup was painful, and shipment of the equipment was slow.
Complaints about non-functioning features were ignored, and customer service could not help
(they consistently suggested I unplug the box and plug it back in after every feature
change - yes, every time I want to forward my calls they wanted me to unplug my VoIP box
from my router, turn it off, turn it back on, and plug it back in). Overall, I wish I had
switched away from these guys sooner. Poor service, poor customer service, really nothing
good to say. |
