This site just came up for me when I went online to search for my Nuvio.com Login. Out of my curiosity, I couldn't help but click on the link. I noticed there were some oddly negative comments about Nuvio (the service I've been with for the past 3-4 months). I was compelled to write a review based on my own experience. These bad reviews, must be outdated, but my experience with Nuvio has been nothing but great. When I set up my service, I had technical support at my finger tips the entire way. There was not one time I had to follow-up on my order or request for help - help was always immediately in front of me. My phones were up and running within mins of us receiving our phones in the mail. We looked around for a lot of providers, and we eventually went with Nuvio simply because of their price. Since then, I've only had to call in to their customer support once or twice to reset passwords - like today - and for some minor issues that ended up being our DSL. Even then, the tech guy was willing to trouble shoot my internet. Each of my calls have been pleasant, and I usually HATE talking to tech support. Anyways, yes, I would recommend Nuvio.

When having difficulty and needing to talk to technical support, we found it quite aggravating that we could not talk directly with a tech person. After finally finding a telephone number in an old email (Nuvio's website either posts no number to call or hides it quite well) we learned that this person (in tech support) could handle our issue (which is not uncommon with many customer support offices). However, when we learned which department our issue was being referred that?s when we found out that there appears to be no inter-company transferring of calls. My call could not be transferred neither could the tech provided me with a number so that I could call direct. It appears that each department does not have telephone numbers or extensions of any other department. Let?s talk about the phone system itself. Sound quality at best is good. Many times there is a tremendous amount of static, mostly without outgoing calls. When this occurs we must, embarrassingly, ask the person on the other end of the line to call us back. We have experienced a number of dropped calls (to land lines that shouldn?t drop) and many times after dialing it could take 20-30 seconds to ring. And, although it does not happen as frequently as it used to, about once per month, we will experience what appears to be a dead line for about ten seconds -- the miraculously, the other end of the line reappears. Transferring calls is irritating at best. Most of the time it takes 2-3 tries to get a call transferred and then many times these transferred calls will go right into voice mail without ringing at the extension being transferred to. The treatment of incoming calls is unreliable. While the system can be programmed to handle incoming calls in a certain manner, this has proven to be unreliable. Calls are ringing on alternate lines instead of the primary line or going directly to the general company voice mail without ringing at all. Our overall experience with Nuvio has been aggravating and a major pain. We are looking forward to our June 10 change over.

This is my second VoIP provider and they are just as mediocre as the last. Even though I recommend them, above I would not go with them if you rely heavily on your phones. They are a run of the mill VoIP provider in my book.

I have had a few problems with sound quality and they are still occurring despite my constant pleas to customer service who somehow always makes me feel at ease. Other than that its a decent service but nothing to rave about.

I was with Nuvio for nine months and hated my experience with them. I had a terrible time getting my phones set up and working like Nuvio promised they would. When I would call in I would get stuck on hold waiting, at times for over an hour, for someone to tell me that there was something wrong on my end. I would stay away from Nuvio if at all possible, they will end up being a huge hole in your pocket.
