I am a business owner in California who made the mistake of signing a contract with C-Beyond in March 2010. It was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made as a business owner, and I am still paying the price for it. The largest of many problems was that their T1 routers misread every phone number dialed out by our (new) PBX, resulting in a 100% loss of outgoing calls. C-Beyond informed me that the problem was with my phone equipment and not their routers. After spending $800 on phone testing and tech support, it was determined that the problems were, in fact, with C-Beyond's routers. However, C-Beyond was unwilling/unable to do anything about it. Simply put, my existing equipment was incompatible with C-Beyond's, and could not be made to work at all. This all should have been determined at the time of sale, but the eager young sales representative was too busy salivating over the contract to do a proper site survey. I spent a full month without use of my phone system, which nearly crippled my business, until I could switch back to AT&T. C-Beyond is completely unresponsive to any and all requests for support once they realize you are not happy with them. They are still trying to bill me $1,500 for services they completely failed to provide. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this business. I wish I had.

My voicemail has not worked properly for 5 days since first reporting it to technical services dept. I was told not to keep too many messages as it's capacity gets full it can lock up. The 3rd service request was supposedly elevated to the engineering department 5 days ago. You decide.

I have had Cbeyond for about a year now in Los Angeles. It has tremendously impacted the efficiency of my business. Upgrading to a T-1 from DSL was the best communications decision I have ever made for my business. DSL had been shaky and unreliable in the past, but the T-1 has been a godsend for keeping the connection constant. The speed is not where I thought it would be, but for the reliability it offers it is tough to complain. The sales force was professional and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with even though they were quite pushy. Be sure to negotiate a good deal, but definitely worth the switch.

I've had Cbeyond service for almost a year now. I would recommend the service to any other small business. I have that standard package with 6 lines and utilize most of the applications offered. I probably could find a similar service for cheaper but wouldn't want to sacrifice the great service.

When I signed up for Cbeyond I was very clear that I would not sign an agreement with an penalties for early cancellation; they agree and provided an addendum. Now they want 9170 dollars to just provide forwarding the number to another location or a message that says the number is disconnected and calls are being taken by ....

I've had Cbeyond for about 18 months. My phones and internet were down for nearly a week. I was literally running my business off my iPhone. At this point I cannot even begin to calculate what this debacle has cost my business. OK feature set is offset by aggressive and pushy sales force, pitiful reliability, and sub-par customer service. I used to have Sprint for my personal cells phones - even they had better customer service than Cbeyond.

Now that I am becoming a bit more knowledgeable on VoIP phone service and have come to find that there are a large number of VoIP providers out there, I now think that I have been over-paying for what I am getting. The installation fee was a bit on the high side so I have stuck around. I am now treating it as the sunk cost that it is and looking around for more affordable options. I'd be interested to find out what others are typically paying for a total small business package for around 10 lines. Any recommendations? I am off to check out the rest of the site and the forum for ideas as it is a bit over-whelming.

Signed up with the beyondvoice package that has the 6 land-lines. Must say that I am happy with the service and liked the fact that they offered a lot of features that were not just voice specific. An example of this is the 1.5Mbps internet access that came with the plan. So as I like package deals that involve the least amount of hassle, I went with the Cbeyond service. The downside is that I am fairly certain that I could find all this for a much cheaper price. I also think I made a mistake by limiting my business to 1500 included monthly minutes as we are fast approaching this amount. So paying about $500 a month might not be the best long term solution for me. Hence I ended up at this web-site to check out different options. So although there are a number of features included at no extra cost, I feel like I am indirectly paying for them. I do like the good customer support though.

Cbeyond is average until you have a problem, then you're up river without a paddle. I'd recommend someone else who can offer a little more and actually help you when the system goes down.
