In our 3 offices, we had a fractional T1 voice and frame-relay data link between our 3 offices. We looked at several alternatives, including on-premise PBX equipment, and MPLS from the phone company. Our goals were improved reliability, increased internet speed, increased flexibility, and no-compromises with voice quality. Based on our goals, Aptela recommended some network changes which we implemented. The results: All goals were exceeded. We have a 6x increase in reliability. Internet speeds increased by 15x to 40x depending on the office. We now have total flexibility on how we handle phone calls as a company. All of our offices behave as one office instead of 3 individual companies. With Aptela, one employee compared the improved voice quality like switching from AM to FM. We tested voice quality and latency of the new system. There is no noticeable latency, and the voice quality improvement is huge. Although cost wasn?t a primary consideration for us, our monthly phone / data bills went from about $4300 / month, down to $2100 / month. Reliability is greatly improved, with automatic "fail over" if a WAN link ever goes down. Prior to that, a single failure could take down the whole company. Now each office can operate autonomously if needed. Overall, we've had a great experience so far !

Unacceptable customer service, unhelpful and argumentative, if you can get a person on the line. Terrible experience porting over local phone numbers. I would suggest a different service if you want to focus on your core business and not be bothered by a lack of reliability and more IT headaches.

In the past 30 days our phones have gone down hard twice. We manage emergency calls in the property management industry and was not able to perform on our contracted duties due to Aptela's incompetence. They sent us an email saying that they accidentally unplugged their internet connection and blamed it on their ISP. I don't know about you but phone companies shouldn't rely on a "plug". We manage many large servers none of which is a utility based service that would never go down like Aptela's has been doing. Incompetent service provider.

We've been an Aptela customer for 6 months and the service has been great. A few issues up front which turned out to an issue with our router. Aptela customer services help us sort through the issues. We have been pleased with the quality and the price. We highly recommend Aptela.

We have over 85 users in 9 offices with a call center. The system works well for us. We use Polycom phones and soft-phones with success. You need to have good or new headsets otherwise you will experience some echoing. Saving lots of money.

I did not like the whole sales experience. Seemed like there was more interest in up-selling me as opposed to answering my questions. VoIP service seems ok though

Not happy with the Aptela customer service. Customer service hold time is ridiculous and then send you to voicemail which is frustrating. Call quality with Aptela is okay but I do have some bad calls.

I selected Aptela as my VoIP provider about six months ago. I chose them for their feature set, which was very attractive. I thought at the time it was enough to offset the fact that their prices are a little higher, but I probably haven't used all the extra features I've paid for. Still, the reliability has been ok, though the customer service is usually extremely poor. I'm not completely ecstatic about them, but still, I'm saving money using VoIP instead of a landline.
