I have been with Teleblend for about 8 years now since they took over from SunRocket. It was an easy transition in that I already had the SunRocket equipment in place and all they did was take over the service. Sound quality and reliability have been great over the years with just a few outages. Teleblend customer support was sparse but acceptable through email only. About a year ago I noticed they were double billing my account a few times a year. They would charge the credit card once near the beginning of the month and again near the end. I read the same complaint from others. It took a while with their sparse support to straighten this out but it worked. Over time I noticed my overall monthly charge was continually creeping up. I was on the $9.99/month plan all along but the fees were becoming outrageous. My bill is now at $31.23/month. I did some research and ordered an Ooma telo today. Now my biggest problem is going to be porting my number out of Teleblend. They won't support existing customers so I can't imagine how they treat a departing one.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Jackie (February 6th 2015) : I have also been a customer since they took over from SunRocket. I switched to Ooma once I realized the fees they were charging were over the top. The number porting according to Ooma representative was longer than normal. But then the issue was cancelling the service. Most providers will close your account once you port your number. However, Teleblend will not, you have to send them an email requesting them to cancel your service and give a date for closing your account.

The phone service is OK, just hope you don't have a problem and have to deal with customer service. They have no way to communicate with customer service by phone (yet they are a phone service company), all communications with them are done by email.

Call quality is just as good as a normal phone line. Customer service is a disaster. It is very difficult to get a hold of an actual human. If you call their number for support you are directed to send an email. If one day you want to leave Teleblend then the process gets to be pain... to quote Teleblend "Please note, if you are porting your number to another carrier, your TeleBlend account must remain open until the port out completes at which time the account holder must contact TeleBlend (remember there is no human to talk to) to close the account per the TeleBlend Terms and Conditions. We do not accept third party cancellations nor are we notified of port-outs as they are handled by underlying carriers. Your TeleBlend account will remain open and continue to bill until we receive security information from the account holder" Need I say more. Keep away from this one.

Teleblend...not reliable, so do not do business with them

Pro's: Cheap prices to get you to join Con's: Service is not reliable, they don't make it easy for you to cancel, zero customer service, and dishonest (see below). Save your money and find a company that values the customer. I don't understand why Teleblend makes it so hard to communicate with their company. I tried to contact them via phone and email for several weeks but no response from them. There is no way to directly talk with someone on the phone or even via a chat session, therefore there was no easy way to cancel my service. I felt trapped with the service and when I called their offices I just get a voice message stating that if I leave an email someone will "promptly" respond. Well it has been several weeks and many calls/emails later and nobody has replied. It seemed like the only way to get their attention was when I removed my billing auto-payment info from the system to cancel my service. Even after removing my credit card info from their system and autopay, they went ahead and used my previous credit card info and charged my card for the next month of service! They had no right to bill my account without my authorization... that is fraud! All you have to do is answer your phone or reply to your customers emails. I can think of several other VOIP service providers that are less expensive, reliable and honest... don't waste your time and money with Teleblend.

Tried accessing my account and every time I try they tell me my password and secret questions are invalid. Cannot acces anyone by phone, only email. This is a very cumbersome way of handling immediate problems. Oh, also their chat line is off line except during normal work hours.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Bobel (Nov 22nd, 2014) : Generally, my Teleblend is working fine, since 2008. I am on the year plan, paying 12 months up front, but twice they billed me double on the monthly fees. So I have to watch that. I am also using Phone Power and INTalk... both very good and pay by the year.

Calls will drop out with an extended call. If you are on hold all of a sudden the line is dead and you think you are still on hold. When you change providers you must get a ticket number, you can't talk to a rep. They only e-mail you a reply. One nice thing, you can delete unwanted callers. I miss that.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Bob in VA (Jan 10th, 2014) : I can't believe that some customers are experiencing bad service. Maybe I am just a lucky customer, but my Teleblend service has been excellent since Fall of 2006 as Sun Rocket, then later the service, servers etc., all slid to Teleblend. My only wish is they would increase the call Log to at least 20 (currently 10). Voicemail is very good. Calls go out and come in very fast. Yearly rate is still a bargain. I also have Phone Power which is also 2nd to none. If you do not have a high speed Internet service, no VoIP telephone service will work very well.

Old gizmo (phone adapter) which was a linksys failed after 5 years. Requested a new one which arrived in 6 weeks after numerous calls!! The gizmo was a cheap off brand. Calls were dropped often, calls could not be answered about 1/3 of the time either coming directly or through call waiting, or callers could not get into my phone at all. Could not get a dial tone at times. Called for technical and you get a person who can only take your complaint and says that they only relay your complaint to tech. Email returns in a few days with some comment that does not help and after more than 3 months with multiple calls to the relay person problem is not fixed and they refuse to refund because the "tech ticket is open" and they will not close it!! I will drop the service and just lose the money owed rather than continue not really getting service. I would like to sue, but time and energy is not worth it. They have blamed by modem, telephone, cable (I have a very fast connection that I pay extra for), cable service outage, router, etc. for my problem and do not take responsibility for the crappy gizmo that they sent. Before the change, my linksys was flawless until it finally died and they would not give me a good replacement. Beware signing up with this company as you will not have any useful support as all they do is give you excuses and do not respond to problems after their first contact with you. Do not go with a cheap voip as that is what you will get-cheap crap that does not work and cheap non useful phone service.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Comment by Bob on 6/28/2013 : I have had Teleblend service since October 2006. and I hope my Gizmo does not give out. so far, now 6/2013, my service has been excellent. I am running it on Verizon Fios High Speed.

Mike (April 1st 2015) : These people are the worst company I've ever encountered. They jerk you around and make it impossible to talk to a human, only answering emails. Our service completely disappeared for more than 24 hours as did their website. We were concerned they had vanished so ported the number. They continue to charge our credit card and then want a "termination fee" besides keeping the money you've prepaid. Be prepared to dispute credit card charges.

I just signed up for TeleBlend and I am very excited. I choose their standard residential service which is only 6.95 a month for the first 3 months and then 15.95 a month there after. My number ported about 4 days ago and the service has been crystal clear and easy to use. I received my device from TeleBlend about 4 days after I signed up and was able to use it for outbound calling while they ported my number (which took about 12 days) and now I don?t need my old line any longer. I don?t make any international calls but I incase I want to I have up to $10 in free international calling a month which is nice if/when I need it. The total cost for the service with all the fees and stuff is about 10 a month for the first three months and 19 a month after that which is great (seeing that I was paying 35 a month for service before). I am definitely a fan of TeleBlend.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Tina (12/13/2018) : Trying to reach Teleblend. All their customer numbers are invalid and no one answers or scammed numbers. I need their exact numbers for customer service. I also need the proper way to call.

About a month ago Teleblen placed excessive charges (about 3 months worth) on our credit card account. When we contacted them through their chat the guy was not able to explain why these charges were there. Such excessive charge is generally a sign that a company is about to go out of business. Therefore, we disputed the charges through our credit card company and these charges were reversed. Today (June 27, 2012) we found out that Teleblend had disconnected our service. The reason provided - because we disputed the excessive charge they disconnected our services and to get it reinstated we will have to pay them reinstatement fee of $100 per line (we have three lines). The reason provided for the excessive charge was a "computer glitch". He Teleblend representative I spoke to also stated that they were going to refund the money anyway. We have a log of the chat session saved and no promise of refund made. These guys are crooks behind a VOIP curtain.

VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:

Comment by Neil on 7/2/2013 : I have had a similar experience. Have been a customer for several years and for the most have had good service. However in February 2013 I was billed 3 times the normal charge. Called customer service and they also said it was a "computer glitch" and would issue a credit. In March they billed me twice! And still have seen no credit several months later - have been overbilled twice and see no credits or refunds. It's also impossible to get anybody on the phone, and the "submit trouble ticket" function on their website doesn't seem to be working. I'm ready to call it quits.
