Does any one have Joi Phone service that could say how there quality and tech support is? they are currently offering a deal with 2 lines for the price of 1 and have pretty good rates. I just don't know what to expect for quality since there doesn't seam to be many reviews out on them.

We do not have reviews for Joi unfortunately - if anyone has used this service please enter a review for them here:

it will be nice to find out if any one has had any experance with them.
I'm finding out that I am becoming very limited in the number of voip providers I can use. Some won't take me on because I have no E911 service (rrbox number address). and NONE have local calling numbers for where I live. Joi is the only one that has been trying to work with me to figure out how I could possibly get a local number and there support has sounded intelligent instead of not knowing even what they are trying to help you with. |

Joi Phone Customer Service is Okay.
However the service is almost next to garbage. The quality is horrible, you cant even use a fax machine with their service, without errors. You call them, and they give you bull-sh!t excuses. I also have Vonage, and in my opinion there is no comparison. Vonage is 100 times better service, quality, and customer support. |

Cougar,
I just submitted a formal review on whichvoip.com, which will hopefully give you some more info needed to make an informed decision. If you do go with JoiPhone, I would URGE you NOT to go with a prepaid long term plan. There are many hidden lies in the terms of service that it takes a while to uncover. For example, the Unlimited plan is anything but unlimited. The reality is they have blocked peoples lines for talking more than 60 minutes at a time, talking for more than 500 minutes over 15 days, and for talking to other countries for more time than they talk to the US. When they surprise you with the knowledge that Unlimited really isn't Unlimited, they keep your money, even after blocking your service, citing that you were the one who violated the TOS. On top of that, there are many complaints about the quality of their service. The only group that answers the phones is the sales team, the ones that get you to give up the credit card info. Billing issues and support issues are "handled" by email support. By handled, i mean you get an auto reply ticket number than then will be lucky to hear from them within a week or two. So, if you have no other choice - then sign up with them on a month to month basis only. At least then if you end up determining that it is a scam, you are only out 40-50 bucks instead of over 440.00 like the rest of us... Also, for more info on JoiPhone, visit this site: http://www.dslreports.com/comments/3028 There are more reviews out here, and if you click on the link to view the Unofficial Joi Phone discussion forum, you can follow those links to several more threads which will give you lots more info. Good Luck! |

Thanks mpatrick14 for adding your formal review and comments here regarding JoiPhone VoIP Provider.
We do not have a formal VoIP review page for JoiPhone VoIP reviews, but we do have a "catch all" for other VoIP providers that can be viewed by following the link below. You will find you formal review published there at #71. It is the only VoIP review we have for JoiPhone on our site.
