Right to the point Jackie, like your style :-)
I have used Verizon and Comcast and have had fairly good luck with both. Verizon took a long time to install correctly and needed technicians to visit my house to get a decent speed for my broadband.
Ended up moving from them, not because the service was bad but because I wanted to get the full savings from my VoIP line (i.e. remove line rental from my phone bill) so had to move to a cable provider so I could cancel my local phone service and line.
Moved to Comcast, great customer service in my opinion, getting 6MBits/s downlink and 384KBits/s uplink which is plentiful to keep my VoIP at a decent QoS and my family is delighted with the internet speed. Costing me about $10 more per month.

IMHO Verizon is fine. I was getting good speeds with them.
I m using Ethernet shoppers broadband services and i think it is fine.
I use fiber optic network of VNPT, the speed of 14Mbps
I am quite happy with this speed
