    Default Moving location and Vonage

I have Vonage, i recently moved to anaheim with adelphia. In burbank,ca with charter it worked fine, but with adelphia we get horred delays, 2-9 second delay. I upgraded adelphia to the premium service with 768 up/6mb down, with no effect on Vonage.

Do you think I would have the same problem if I went to ATT or Packet8? \

From your email it sounds like you had the service in Burbank, and had no problems. You moved to Anaheim, taking your VoIP service with you (ATA, same number etc), and now you are having problems. There could be many reasons for such problems and it would be difficult to try and problem solve over this email. However, moving Service provider may or may not help the situation, depending on where the problem lies. If it is your local Central Office (CO),
then it may not make any difference changing providers. You have more than enough bandwidth on your broadband connection, so that sounds fine.

Unfortunately, this is the type of problem that you will need to contact your provider and your ISP about. We would suggest contacting them both, explain the problem and hopefully they can help. We have heard a lot of negative feedback regarding Vonage customer service recently, but hopefully you will get some response. We recommend that you try different things like calling a cell phone, a local landline, a relative/friend long distance and see if there is any difference in the latency (delay). See if certain times of the day cause a problem or if it is every call you make. This may help throw some light on the issue. Latency causes a problem for VoIP, but it is normally kept to a minimum to not cause problems. However, your situation sounds particularly bad.
