Do not use JoiPhone! They stole my money, have crappy customer service, and a F rating with the Better Business Bureau.

I was a happy SunRocket customer for years until they went out of business last year. I searched for another VOIP provider and I came across a banner ad for JoiPhone. JoiPhone even had a special promotional rate for SunRocket customers. However, I got screwed by JoiPhone. I prepaid for 1 year of Unlimited service and recieved just under 7 months of service. JoiPhone had promised to port/transfer my old number and did not do so even after I contacted them repeatedly for weeks. Then my JoiPhone service quality was crappy to say the least when I was able to get an outside line my phone number would show up as a different number every time on friends and family members caller ID. When I contacted JoiPhone instead of recieving a resolution, or explanation from customer service I would be directed by the customer service rep to send an email to the service/sales department.

I had all ready decided that I would get another VOIP provider after my year was up with JoiPhone, but they had beat me to the punch. JoiPhone had disrupted my service on 01/11/08 with a message saying "This caller is blocked." I thought that this must be some type of mistake and I immediately contacted JoiPhone. Once again instead of recieving assistance I was told that my Unlimited Phone Plan account was suspended for abuse. What? The rep then attempted to extort me into handing over an extra $45 per month and upgrading to a business account in order to restore service I paid for all ready. I refused and I said "I want my account cancelled, and I demand a refund since you are not providing me with the service you promised." Again with the crappy service the rep told me that I couldn't cancel my account over the phone, and would have to send an email. I did just that and contacted them every week to check on the status of the refund.

Yesterday, I contacted JoiPhone for the last time in regards to my refund. The liars said that I wouldn't get money back and hung up in my face. SAY NO TO JOIPHONE!
