Hi,
I have heard that it is possible to use Windows Messenger to make VoIP calls, in-place of a phone and ATA. Is this actually possible and if so how would I do this.
Many thanks
Anthony

Hi,
in order to use Windows Messenger 5.1 you will need to have information from your provider which includes a SIP address (e.g. sip:user@broadvoice.com), an account and a password.
Depending upon the SIP address, you may need to also know the SIP server to connect to, a port and transport. This is required if the domain portion of the SIP address does (e.g. broadvoice.com) is not resolvable via DNS to the SIP server.
The SIP address and server information can be entered via the Tool -> options dialog.
