Default Can I use my regular phone with VoIP?

    Hello,
I am in the process of switching to Voip and have a few questions, could you please help?
1-Can I use my regular home phone with Voip?
2-is it worth to purchase a whole new set of Voip Phone?
3-Packet8 has a Uniden UIP1868P that I like but it is only compatible with packet8, I want something like the Uniden UIP1868P but compatible with all providers, any Brand/Model that you recommend?
4-last but not least, I am only interested in us unlimited call, any provider that you could recommend base on quality/price?
thank you so much in advance.

    Hello Tuan,
Congratulations on making the move to VoIP.

To answer some of your questions:
    1) Yes, you can use your existing phones. Your service provider will send you an ATA device that goes between your regular phone and your broadband connection.
    2) Depends on your situation, but as in #1 you can just use your regular phones that you have already invested in. Of course, if you want a video phone or take advantage of some of the new advanced VoIP phones out there then thats cool too. You can find some hardware options through Amazon at the following location:

    3) No particular brand I would recommend. This is tough without trying all the options out. Any users out there have any recommendations?
    4) Check out our plan search engine at the following location.

You can select the features that are important to you, including unlimited US calling. We recommend spending some time looking through the results, checking the "plan details" info available for each and looking through the many user review and ratings on our site for the providers you are interested in.

The 5 providers shown on our home page are the most popular providers with our vistors. Click on "VoIP Home" in the top left.

Good luck and enjoy your VoIP service and all the money you will save!

    Mike
