Any recommendations for a speed test for high speed internet. I have Comcast and speed varies so want to take some snapshots.

I test at these sites regularly, comparing data from each site to form an overall picture of my system's capability to send and receive data at the fastest CONSISTENT rate.
I believe you will find that ANY and ALL testing sites will give varied readings -- the trick is to narrow the fluctuations as much as possible by employing various tweaks that you'll find at the User Forums of the individual testing sites.
I suggest using test sites that record your test results so that comparisons can be made before and after any "tweaks" that you may want to employ.
Speedtest.net -- is the world's biggest, with over 2 BILLION tests taken -- and they supply a ton of info from which you can compare your performance to the locals and the foreigners, too.
Speedguide.net -- is a fountain of usable info for the tech-minded AND the newbee, too !! Lots of tweaks and techno-speak, but a solid source of USABLE info for the curious AND the accomplished 'netophile !!
SpeedMatters.org -- tests upload and download only -- tracks by ZIP CODE, so you can compare your speeds to the other peeps in your immediate area, as well as State and National test results.
Whichvoip.com -- great testing site for those who want to gauge the ability of their system to send and receive phone calls over the internet ( V.O.I.P)
These four sites are about the best that I have found over the years -- Good Luck !!
