This is a follow up: I wrote a review back in November of last year, I was happy then and I am still happy with the service. I have had the service for about six months now and I have not had a single problem. As another person said, caller id does not work like it should but for the price and quality I can live with it. To be fair, I have never even called to have it fixed. Having had Sunrocket and Vonage I can tell you that Voipyourlife is worth trying. Scott.

After reading the first 7 reviews of via-talk, I was compelled to enter my very positive comments about this service. I am very happy with the service. I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary and have had virtually NO problems. Of course, initially, there were many questions that I got answered very quickly. I believe that I was completely self sufficient, no need for service, after the first 4 weeks. Give it a chance, once operational it works GREAT! One negative is that they keep coming out with really good deals and won’t let me sign up. I paid my $9.95 PER month for 2 years 500 minutes and now they are offering two years unlimited for $199. I asked twice to extend my contract with this rate but they won’t budge. I am afraid that when my contract is up they won’t offer this really good deal. I guess time will tell. Don’t hesitate, however give it time.

I have used Sunrocket for 1 1/2 years. Originally bought it for a home office line. The services has been so reliable that I transferred my home number to the service this year and freed myself from the local telco. Line quality has improved to the point that it there is no difference from a landline. Only issue was an excessive number of wrong numbers ringing … usually it was 800 numbers dialed in my area code would route to me in error. Sunrocket could not fix but this has gotten better recently. I am very pleased with Sunrocket and would recommend to anyone.

This is a follow up review…I have had ViaTalk for 2 months and I can say I have found no problems with the service. All features work and sound quality is a good as it gets. As I have stated in my previous review this is my 3rd VoIP phone service and I have been nothing but thrilled with my savings and the quality of the service I have received. Why would anyone not use VoIP phone service is a mystery to me.

I read the reviews and after doing some homework I ordered. I was a bit nervous about a US based VoIP service as a Canadian but I don’t regret a thing. I thought the phone adapter would take a while to get to me and it was around 12 days from the time I ordered the service to the time I received it. The PST&GST taxes and customs fee were about $14 Canadian. However, once I received the phone adapter and activated the phone service online the hardware installation was a piece of cake. Basically you plug the phone adapter into the cable modem, plug in a phone, lift the receiver and there is a dial tone. I had no software setup issues with the phone adapter at all. My only beef was the fact that I started paying for the VoIP service from the initial order but didn’t get the phone adapter until 12 days later which meant I lost a third of the month. I emailed customer service complaining about this a month after the initial order and within 20 minutes of my email I was told by Gary at customer service that they would reset my billing date to the activation date so I would get a full month’s service. Fantastic! You have to love customer service like this. I’ve been telling all my friends about the quality and the service. Keep it up VoIP Your Life.

Ok…I am an early adopter I admit. And I had Packet8 right when they launched. I loved the savings as I travel a good bit and make calls all over. But I had MAJOR problems with my quality of calls. calls dropped, calls were others on the line couldn’t hear me. And I was actually able to get through to a packet 8 customer service representative who tried to help me to no avail. Then one day I sat next to one of the guys at VOIP.com on a plane trip to California. He told me what he did, his name was Christopher. I informed him of my issues with VOIP service in general that I loved the price but that I needed better quality. For 40 mins he explained the difference in the carrier grade service connections they use and the type of equipment that is used at the house (router). He even said they had FREE soft phone. As a traveler this was indeed exciting. So he gave me his card. I called later and they shipped out a router with one month FREE service. Skeptical, I replaced my Packet8 router for the VOIP.com Cisco router. That was it! Quality! and price. I can not attest to their customer service…because I haven’t needed them!!! Voip.com so far…so good and the soft phone…anywhere there is a WiFi hot spot I can make my calls…EXCELLENT now this is VOIP!

I got my first SunRocket line about 14 months ago. The beginning was fairly rough. But they seemed to have ironed out their issues. I had several service outages in the first few months, none in the last year that can be attributed to SunRocket. I recently got a second SunRocket line. Here’s what I like. First, I make a few, not a lot of foreign calls, mostly to the UK, France, Germany. Verizon had amazingly horrible rates, over $1 per minute to these. I also had a VOIP line with Optimum (my broadband provider). Their service was good, but foreign calls require a subscription of about $17 per month. SunRocket has 2 or 3 cent per minute service to these locations with no subscription required. My typical usage is less than $5 per month. The features are also good. You can set up multiple forwarding, you get two phone numbers, and they transfer your old number. I have also had good luck with my FAX machine, something that is often troublesome with VOIP services. The latest VOIP adaptor is a LinkSys which works well. It’s much more reliable than their early hardware and easy to setup, and they include a wireless phone with the subscription. In short, if you don’t mind laying out the $199 per year you get a very good service. The reliability is now as good as my broadband, the problems I have now all relate to either service issues with my broadband, or with my own gateway router.

I don’t see why more company’s are like Voipgo. I ordered my service through the net, two hours later I got a confirmation call to check if all my info is correct. Within a couple of hours my account was setup, so they sent my info to my e-mail, and if I had my own unit I would’ve been up within that 4-5 hours. So, now I had to wait for my adapter. 3 days later it arrives at my door. Now that’s service. I have a bunch of lines and I’ve never been setup by any company like that. I’ve ordered a line from one provider and it took them about 5 days just to set me up, thank god I had an ATA, waiting for that would’ve taken even longer. I just wanted to say that I’ve been with Voipgo for less then 4 days and so far no screw ups and customer service is amazing, I’m still shocked that my phone was up that soon. Tim

If you have been thinking about switching to VoIP and saving a ton of cash SunRocket is your best choice. I researched for a year and after a professional IT person recommended SunRocket I took a chance. It is awesome!!! Equal if not better than regular phone. You can hook it to all your jacks (get a pro if your not sure) and it is feature rich and with a money back guarantee you have nothing to lose. 13.95 per month with the 3 months free why would you not switch. I am the most critical person and now that I have it the question I keep asking is why didn’t I do it sooner. SunRocket’s customer service is awesome and you will be pleasantly surprised. This company is the best kept secret in the industry. Just do it and keep the extra cash for your family.

I have had SunRocket since October of 2006 and no problems! The only problem is when I try to download files that are about 1GB and play online games thru the Playstation 2 and talk on the phone it does tend to break up, but that’s due to the bandwidth of Verizon DSL. As of this date and time no problems. Two hundred and eight dollars a year is a steal compared to Verizon Vios/Bios. Sunrocket Outstanding!!!*******

I have had 3 VoIP services and I have been pleased with all 3. I had lingo for one year then I went to Sunrocket on there 199.00 yearly plan and that plan was about to expire and I found ViaTalk on this web site. Ordered on a Monday and received adapter the following Monday. Very easy to set up. I did get a head start on setting up all the calling features since u have access to there web portal before you get adapter….so far call quality is as good as it can get….I love all the features that I can customize to my own liking. I can set the incoming caller id to display what ever I want it to display. I can set different ring tones for different number and so many other features. I did buy one year get one year free. I was paying 81.00 a month for land line before I started using VoIP and I have been very pleased with each of the services. I emailed ViaTalk support at 1am and I got a response in 15 minutes and I asked a follow up question and again got a response in 30 min…..Order ViaTalk and save cash……..

I did a lot of research on different providers. I set up a spreadsheet and analyzed all of the different providers. I settled on Sunrocket for a couple of reasons. No bull pricing. You pay $199 per year. No tax no surcharge. No extra fees. Check others, particularly local cable providers. They all add fees and taxes. I had the usual switching my phone number hassles but they appear to be mostly from ATT. I think it is great. Voice quality is great. No one in my family can tell any difference…….

I’ve just paid $200 for two full years of service!! I wasn’t too sure what to expect for that price but it was an offer I could not refuse. The equipment arrived in a few days and it was so easy to set up. Sound quality is excellent, features are good certainly a lot better than my landline. I have not talked to customer service so I didn’t want to give them a 5 star but if the product is anything to go by then their customer services should be good. I’m telling all my friend to at least try it particularly since the special is so good. Great site guys lots of good info……

Great Customer Service - usually respond in seconds. Very knowledgeable, helpful and polite staff. The equipment is easy to install. Good quality of sound. The company informs via email about any changes and when they charge credit card. The phone number was transferred over from the local phone company in several days after I faxed authorization form. This is my first Voip provider and after reading many negative reviews (bad customer service, waiting time on the phone is over an hour, low quality of sound, etc.) from users of Vonage and Viatalk, I am glad I selected VoicePulse. VoicePulse does not have any special offers, but it provides good and reliable service and is still much cheaper than I paid before to Verizon……

I’ve been using Vonage for three years. First in California and now with a US phone number in Europe. I think it is outstanding. When we initially set up the service, I had a bit of trouble getting it going on my own. I called their customer service and had a great experience. The guy spent ten minutes walking me through configuring the router and then I was up. We have moved three times since then and I have had no trouble plugging in the router and being up and running with the same US number within minutes (even now in France). Once in a great while it will drop a call, however, this is pretty infrequent. I have read some complaints regarding their customer service and understand their subscriber base has swelled enormously in three years so perhaps this has contributed to that problem. Last I read they were trying to address this. So far, I have not needed to deal with customer service since the initial setup three years ago……
